The awesome thing about standalone is the flexibility it has, just like Minecraft, there should be common updates including new and better content. In my opinion standalone will be better than the ArmA 3 DayZ mod, but it's completely debatable and until the time actually comes where standalone will compete against ArmA 3's DayZ mod we will never know.

Obviously some anti-hacks have their flaws and it can get quite frustrating but anti-hacks for ArmA aren't ever going to be perfect, simply because this game is too heavily modifiable. If you're having troubles with servers and their current anti-hacks I suggest moving to the next server. I know there are some good servers out there with decent anti-hacks that don't kick you off when you aren't hacking.

You must be crazy to play music while on DayZ, unless you want to drown out sounds of shots and other players... listening to music isn't really what you want to do. :P But I would love to play music while on DayZ.

Namalsk is what you play when you're trigger happy. It's strictly a military map, looting and killing is all you do in it and very rarely will you find bases and people saying "Hey, friendly?".

I personally don't see the fun in spawning with high grade items like that. It takes away most of the looting/survival aspect.

I was reading suggestions on the forums and saw a post about legal guns, I then thought of something simple. Searching objects... The ability to search draws Ability to search shelves Searching gun cases for weapons Searching market shelves for food, and dormant refrigerators for drinks (Also to add onto my zombies that can smell with the addition of hygiene suggestion (http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/110458-zombies-that-can-smell/), you have to brush your teeth to stop tooth infections, decay and tooth aches curable by pain killers etc. because lets face it, all those cans of coke, pepsi and mountain dew can't really be that good for your teeth. However this may go too in depth of realism) Searching under beds Cracking safes Ability to search lockers in military bases and locations for ghillie suits, camo clothing, night vision goggles, range finders, military backpacks and such Possible to take clothing out of draws and cupboards to put on, e.g. a casual shirt, or a suit Looting different objects make you do different looting animations, but you can cancel the animation if you need a quick escape So overall I'm suggesting that you can search different objects for different types of loot, giving the feel of realistic looting. I'm not sure if this has been suggested before, or if it's happening with the standalone already, but if so... sorry, I couldn't find any posts about realistic looting.

Both the mod and standalone are in development, the mod is a community run project and will keep going regardless of standalone, there is no word on when any of these are being released. But these questions are repetitive and it annoys the forum staff, you should just wait it out and see. Patience is the key.

Betrayal is a big part of the game, a lot of people betray others. I know that I betray random people I meet, unless they're in teamspeak or skype with me they will get killed eventually... simply because that's how I play. I have learnt to live with that.

Well it's good that you avoid it, and feel remorse. This game, being sort of a social experiment, reflects what you would do and how you would feel in real life situations similar to this... despite the fact that this is a game. So yes, it is okay to not love PvP.
