How much realism is too much for the SA?
Mitunzz replied to Tunusa's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
As was stated before it's unlikely that a game will become so close to realism that it's comparable in every way to real life. In my opinion DayZ cannot have too much realism simply because it's a survival simulator, and as Fraggle said Rocket is pretty concrete about what is happening at the moment and seems to be holding fans suggestions until later on in development, so a lot of the suggestions wont even be added into DayZ on the initial release and even then I'm sure that Rocket will make sure that the community agrees on the changes before-hand. Standalone has so much flexibility and I can't wait to see what the development team does with it. Yes, you miss the point... It's a great idea, introducing a new mechanic that has never been tried before in a game. I'm sure it wont be that bad. -

You can keep playing friendly, but play in a squad and be the medic who simply patches everyone up, you'll become a survivor or hero in no time.

New player, need someone to play with!
Mitunzz replied to StevenKelman's topic in New Player Discussion
Try joining a DayZ community that hosts world-wide servers or your country specifically, you will always find interesting people there that play your game style. -
No! What about the children!? Think about the children!

I didn't mind it, but it's over done now. :( You can still have some beans.

So we heard you could load vehicles into Chinooks...
Mitunzz replied to KSchnitzel's topic in DayZ Mod Gallery
Hahahah! good job guys. It would have been cool to have seen a chinook successfully carry a vehicle. -
That's understandable.

How would you like your foodstuffs in DayZ Mod presented? (Multiple choice)
Mitunzz replied to Kra's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I disagree. I'd personally like some silly knock off brand names, I have seen that ArmA II does that in itself, like the white off-road (the car brand is Coyota, rather than Toyota). -
You should go to the official site for BB and post this there.

I have a new favorite!

Well said Inception.. (I don't know if should do a double period, one for your name and one for the end of the sentence, get back to me on this Inception.)
-
Impressive :) I especially like the 4th one, it seems accurate.

Shosho - Feb 2013 - Interview with Matt Lightfoot
Mitunzz replied to SmashT's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
I can vouch for Matt here, he does play quite regularly. -
For some people getting from A to B faster is more important that being stealthy to loot and to avoid zombies or bandits. In my opinion I like to be stealthy and avoid bandits and zombies as much as possible, but sometimes I feel like getting from A to B is more important while I'm playing with a squad, so based on whether I am with a squad or not can change my opinion. However, if the vehicle is a helicopter I would choose that over a car or on foot, simply because I enjoy flying and it's a rare occurance. He is asking what game style do you prefer? Being stealthy and on foot, or using vehicles and going through the pain of hiding your vehicles.

Diving, Underwater Bases/Caves and Water Vehicle's
Mitunzz replied to Mountainhigh (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
A lot of these ideas are great. I can't wait to see how standalone will treat it's flexibility, there are so many things that can be implemented. -
Yes, it will take a while for DayZ mod to come out for ArmA III, considering beta hasn't even been released yet. It's well worth getting ArmA II: OA for DayZ mod, because you will always have ArmA II: OA with it. ArmA is a great game on it's own.
-
I want to know too.
-
Such a generous person :) I will be buying ArmA III too, and I may do a giveaway also.

Hey guys, I have been playing ArmA II lately with the JSRS audio mod installed and I'm quite pleased with the results the mod has given. The louder, more realistic sounds create a more immersed environment whilst playing ArmA and I thought how great it would be to play DayZ with JSRS. However while I was searching for a server to play I noticed next to no DayZ servers support JSRS, so I thought instead of everyone having to install the JSRS mod it could be included in the actual DayZ mod itself to help create the environment that Rocket was going for in DayZ. Now I do realize how large the JSRS mod file is, so I am suggesting for the development team to implement a few sounds taken from JSRS audio mod or put in some sounds of their own to create the environment many DayZ players would enjoy. Thanks! Note: I just realized I didn't search hard enough for this suggestion. It's already been made in a way... Sorry about that if anything was repeated.

I noticed that too, but thought it'd be too childish to mention it. Thanks for mentioning it for me :P

I agree with this. Movement and noise, and possibly smell, are the main factors of their survival whilst finding "food", camouflage however doesn't seem to be an appropriate survival method against zombies.

If you used DayZ commander you can click "recent" and find the most recent servers you have connected to. I'm not sure if SIX has that feature, other than that I'm unaware of any ways to see recent connections. If you can't find the server again, it's not too hard to find another good server. So good luck.

DayZ new update bug - die, but still conscious???
Mitunzz replied to shreddedrocks's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
It could possibly be the server you're on; more traffic, more lag. On the other hand the new patch entails a few bugs here and there, but the team is doing a good job if you ask me. Just wait it out and downgrade to 1.7.4.4 until there is a solution for the problems.
