In The Walking Dead zombies will attack all animals, or beings that provide meat, so this makes sense.

Maybe put in other enemies aside from infected? *Please don't kill me.*

Zombie sheep? damn, it'd suck if you lived in New Zealand... :o -
Infected Zombies Should Prioritise Attacking Weaker Survivors
Mitunzz replied to jezex90's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Zombies are not concious, therefore they cannot make decisions to benefit them. In other words they're fueled by instinct, just to eat. -
Unless you join whitelisted private hives, they're the best. Public Hive - The public hive servers are connected to the main DayZ database where you can transfer your characters from server to server, providing they're all connected to the same hive. Private Hive - Private hives are servers that are not connected to the main DayZ database and are much more open to modification. Generally private hives don't transfer your character to other servers, unless they use their own hive database that allows characters to transfer from one server to another server that is connected to the same hive. I hope this clears things up a bit.

Indeed it does, take a note of that guys.

Everything is just fine in my opinion. I like the lighting and colour, the sun glare doesn't bother me.

Replace the AS50 and M107 with the KSVK?
Mitunzz replied to V2_Danny's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Realisticly 50. Cal sniper rifles shouldn't be around Chernarus, it doesn't seem that there is or ever was a need for them. But if one was the be introduced to balance out air vs ground, then I'd say add the KSVK and remove the AS50 and M107. -
I'm guessing not too much less of the requirements for ArmA II: OA or even ArmA III's requirements.

You wouldn't like it, the teachers are devils and the place is like hell. -
I thank you for sharing your story, it was a good story to read. I also admire that you're a friendly player, and I congratulate you for fixing that SUV up. It reminds me of the first time I ever played DayZ I would never move away from the coast I would stay near the coastal towns like Elektro and Cherno, one day I was lucky enough to find my first vehicle, a green UAZ randomly sitting on the train tracks near Elektro. I ended up driving through Elektro looting and crashing five minutes after I crashed the car, but it was still a good feeling. My favorite experience in DayZ happened at the North Western Airfield in a squad battle that I was caught up in during the middle of the night. I was lone wolfing, strolling around up north when I was going to look at the North Western Airfield for a better weapon I spotted one survivor run across the airfield followed by zombies. I tucked myself away in a tree trying to conceal my position, I watched the survivor carefully when I spotted a bandit come out of the same trees as he did. I thought it was over for the poor survivor but as the bandit got closer to the survivor I noticed the bandit wasn't taking shots. So I assumed they were in the same squad. I was contemplating moving out of my position to get away from the airfield when I spotted another player! Someone whereing a ghillie suit following them in there exact same footsteps. This made me weary about who was outside the airfield, and this was the first player contact I had received in days. I made the hard decision to go over and try make friends with them, as I was walking over I heard a helicopter fly over the airfield and I was right in the middle of the field in an open position ready to be shot. As the helicopter flew over and I dived down I heard shots towards my position, so I crawled over to the nearest bush for cover. We were held up for quite some time, until I fired back with my m14 aim. This was probably a mistake considering zombies would have heard, and unfortunately they did and came hoarding towards my position. I shot each zombie down that was headed towards me until they were all gone. This was a major set back for me, considering they knew what general direction I was in. I had no choice but to move to another bush. That was when I was hearing more shots towards me, I identified them to be Winchester shots. Lucky all shots missed me and I was still alive. I had managed to find a better bush to hide behind when I spotted a survivior sitting in the trees about 300 metres away, I got up and shot them dead. Luckily zombies didn't spot me, and my location was still concealed. Minutes later a helicopter flew over the airfield again, from the southern parts to the northern parts of the airfield, then turned back around dropping two survivior parachuters. I assumed they were in the same squad... but I was hearing shots from the same area the ghillie guy, and bandit were at towards the two parachuters. When the parachuters landed they were about 50-100 metres away from me, and that was a little too close for my liking. I shot both of the parachuters dead also, as I layed back down I spotted the ghillie suited man in the trees and took shots in his general direction and a death message appeared. I moved from my location to another bush and waited for atleast 20 minutes before moving again. I thought the bandit may have left the area by that time and decided to check the two parachuters bodies, they had some pretty nice gear that I needed. I then moved towards the dead survivor and ghillie looting them and they seemed to be semi-geared up. Moments later shots were fired at me, I tucked myself in a tree again hiding from whoever was shooting at me. I was moving away from my position when I noticed a bandit in the trees, when I saw the bandit I immediately took shots at him. Not long after a death message appeared, and I moved in to loot the body. As with the ghillie and survivor he had nothing of value to me. So I moved out, finding a GAZ and I left the airfield completely. That was probably my greatest DayZ experience, and it proves not only squads can have good experiences. Yeah, I remember the good ol' days, it was great. Posts merged. -Inception.

I really like the blue van, and the green military offroad.

People are so scared of death and what it means in this game that they...
Mitunzz replied to jubeidok's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The concept of sandbox game comes into mind while I read this, like Fraggle said... you're just complaining about a game in which you can do as you please. It's your choice, not everyone does what is stated above. -
I have never had this issue before... you should check what type of gun it is again.

Damn it, school banned youtube... Now I have to wait until I get home to watch this. -
Bandits in DayZ have resorted to shooting on site because of the growing numbers in the game, rather than doing what a typical bandit should do which entails robbing survivors when they encounter them, robbing tents and immobilizing other players vechicles. The word "friendly" means nothing now, if anything it means "Be my friend, so later on you can shoot me". A "real" bandit now will kill you on site, armed or unarmed, steal your items, hide your body and walk away. So I would say simply don't trust anyone.

So...How long until a DayZ ARMA 3 port?
Mitunzz replied to leviski's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Indeed it would be neat. The new update entails a lot of game changing features, but that being said it's hard for me to imagine how it would be like with DayZ in ArmA III. -
ArmA II: Private Military Company and ArmA II: British Armed Forces are expansions which do add higher resolution on characters, items and vehicles. I use the expansions and it makes the game look better, I suggest using it. To actually play DayZ you only need ArmA II and ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead and that is all.

Yep, you can find boxes with 20 SD magazines in them which aren't too rare around chopper crashes and in barracks.

Is there no sub forum for the standalone?
Mitunzz replied to ck3 (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I think that they may turn DayZGame.com the official website for standalone, therefore all discussions may go on that websites forums. -
I've heard the closed beta is has been opened for DayZ forum staff, and officials from things like nvidia. I'm not sure when the rest are getting it, but I'm excited for it.

You have to remember that ArmA, and ArmA II wern't designed for ragdoll and ArmA III is based off the ArmA engines, so all of a sudden implementing something like ragdoll physics is a big game changer and would be very difficult. I have noticed a couple of things already, obviously not to hard to notice in the alpha stages, in the ArmA engine changing weapons stops you from moving and you're vulnerable where you stand and similar to the other ArmA games falling off a rock for example makes you slide and not be in control of your character, rather than something similar to Battlefield 3 where if you fall off a building you still have control of your character in mid-air. These things have been in ArmA since the beginning and it doesn't seem like they will be changed in ArmA III, but we'll see.

Different game, different keys. Bans can't be carried through one game to another because there is not really a way to track it precisely. So dear hackers - you've been given another chance, use it wisely. (Don't hack...)

I believe the population limit will be aiming at 150, but the technology test hasn't been done yet it seems... So the limit may be less, or more if we're lucky. As with the private hives and public hives I'm unsure on that, but I think that private hives wont be available at first. As for cake...
