  1. I was banned for doing nothing other than playing the game for 6 hours on my first day of game play, I never downloaded any other mods except for DayZMod, ArmA 2, ArmA 2: OA, ArmA 2: OA beta. I would like to start a permanent thread about how to make, configure, etc.. a non-BattlEye server for all the thousands and thousands of people who had stolen CD-keys. Knowing that the number of non-BE servers is next to zero, it would be nice to know how to host your own server, or how to create one so I can have it hosted elsewhere. I would like this thread to be BattlEye user free, meaning only players who were banned for no reason should post here. What we need to accomplish.. 1. Steps to create a non-BattlEye server 2. Steps to add additional map files to said non-BattlEye server. 3. How to tweak settings on a non-BattlEye server 4. Will tools like Dart work for non-BattlEye server admins? 5. Scripts to prevent hacking on non-BattlEye servers? (I.E. Prevent hacked items, etc...) So if anyone has knowledge on how to set these things up please share, thank you.

How to create a NON-BattlEye Server

Like I said before, this thread is about NON-BATTLEYE servers, please refrain from posting about BattlEye servers or how to get unbanned, do you think people haven't already spoken BattlEye "support" and tried to get unbanned? I have, I'm sure lots of people received the canned response " Hi, your ban is valid and therefore won't be lifted. If you didn't cheat, then you are either using a shared cd-key (sold by certain fraudulent entities/companies for a cheap price) that was used for cheating or someone managed to steal your cd-key by getting access to your system (via cd-key stealers, there is a news post about this issue on battleye.com) and either replaced your actual cd-key with a banned one, or cheated with it and got it banned now. Even if your actual cd-key isn't banned yet (you can check that by removing your current cd-key from the registry and reinstalling the game), it will likely be banned soon. Note that there is nothing BE can do about others getting access to your system and stealing personal data such as your cd-key, that's entirely your own responsibility. It's technically not possible for hackers to steal your cd-key in-game though. The only way to get unbanned and be able to play on BE servers again is to buy a new copy or cd-key of the game (ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead). Otherwise you can still play on BE-disabled servers. Please understand that no further details about your ban can be revealed and no further instructions on how to get unbanned can be provided. Regards, Bastian Suter " Sorry I didn't cheat, nor did I buy a fraudulent cd-key, if you consider cd-keys purchased from steam fraudulet, then sure. This is the last time I will reply about this stuff, all other posts should be pertaining to the setup, creation, and configuration of non-BattlEye servers. Thank you. But if you know how to create a dedicated server say using Steam's dedicated server, or using server software on your local machine, please feel free to share that information. This thread is for people who have been banned unjustly by BattlEye's dictatorship rules.

    New Major BattlEye Anti-Cheat Features

New anti-cheat features? how about banning people who aren't hacking, not by the hundreds of cd-keys, but by the thousands. Sounds like a money maker for Bohemia Interactive, wonder if BattlEye gets kick backs for every cd-key banned. (I was banned for no reason after 6 hours of gameplay, first time playing, never received a reason, just got a Global Ban, I never downloaded any other files other than the DayZmod, Arma 2, and Arma 2: OA. Thats IT!.) I suggest that everyone just implement scripts to check for hacked items rather than having a program that scans more than just arma 2's memory space. BattlEye has been banned in all US federal institutions. Because programs like BattlEye, wow's guardian, etc.. go too far, they invade peoples privacy, whats next, does BattlEye start using your webcams? if BattlEye detects a virus on your system does that automatically ban you from all servers? there REALLY is no way to know. BattlEye has no details on what it detects, and what it does not, nor does it tell you what it does not scan. BattlEye neglects to say all of the ways one can be banned, it really seems like a dictatorship, BattlEye would seem more at home in China? no?
