You can technically have four public characters if you opt into the experimental patches, which can be convenient if you are interested in testing new content. Experimental servers run on their own hives split between standard and hardcore. They were busy until the current version went stable, so not so much now but still nice to have.

Very nice. Was amusing to see the fresh spawn come in only to get laid out interrupting your story.

Because of the current spawn system if you are looking for action go to Elektro. Theres always people there in full servers.

No. Removing permadeath defeats any sense of fear at all when playing which is where the excitement comes from. There are alternatives to what you want but it goes againts the core principle of the gameplay.

I've never had a problem finding them, and have went through dozens of them by now. TBH they seem to spawn more commonly at the top floor of schools than anywhere else in my experience.

Thats insane. Hammerpoint did that for one reason: because they are selling backpacks and ammunition in their 'store'. Weapons you could find laying everywhere, but they were disposible because ammunition was nearly non-exsistant. Not to mention backpacks which if you wanted either you would almost have to spend real money on to get. If you have to work to get your loot then so be it, everyone else does. Its a level playing field.

Think they're rare now? They're pretty damned common at the moment to help with testing. How can people test the weapons and find problems with them if they are difficult to find? Enjoy them while you can, they won't be around forever.

Try medium pop servers. They seem to be balanced more and don't have as many problems with hoppers or people camping the shore. I can certainly tell that I run into people more often further inland in those servers as well it feels like. Usually makes for a pretty enjoyable experience.

Yes, sure. Because changing those sounds is of the utmost importance to the build. Fuck all of those pansies with connection and performance issues, other people are suffering even more because of the sounds.

Had an odd thing happen to me just earlier tonight. Had an M4 on my back whilst carrying a mosin in my hands. Spawned in and the Mosin was gone, but I found it a few hundred meters away in a construction site. I know it was the one I was holding too because it had the PU scope on it. Very odd.

I've been held up many times, and done the same back. Most encounters always end anti-climatically. If you can't deal with it, just come back after the release and try again.

Sound could be a factor, are you making noise for a variety of reasons? Even if you can't see yourself in 3rd person then you could possibly be clipping through an object you are next to and don't notice. Is your breathing visible because of cold air? I can't remember if you can see other players' breath during those early morning hours. If you are hiding in trees/bushes you could've been spotted beforehand and they are just blindfiring albiet rare. -Try different, more unusal/unlikely spots -Careful with the noise you make -NEVER assume you are safe

Shame this happened, though somehow starting fresh after being alive so long is a nice change of pace. Hopefully the attacks stop sometime soon!
