Hide in the woods no? THAAAT hard to realize it ? Hide in the woods AND NOT 20km off the map, no? THAAAT hard to realize it ? Hiding vehicles WAY off the edge of the map is almost a necessity at this point due to all the douche-nozzles using ESP hacks to find everyone's camps. Until BattlEye actually does something other than provide a false sense of security, I don't see why people shouldn't be allowed to keep vehicles off the map. -
Just hit a rabbit that ran out in front of me on a full green condition bicycle going ~70 kph. Somehow this sends me and the bike tumbling out of control, resulting in my death. Nice...

We always make it a point to save our vehicles whenever we get in or out of them. This still occasionally happens to us though. Had a Mil-Offroad that we took out raiding one night. Hit the factory for parts, a hospital for med supplies and two crashed Helis where we pick up several bizons, an m107, and 2 NV-FALs. Next day after a server restart, all gear in the truck was gone. Other vehilces and tents nearby still had everything, just no gear in the offroad. Very sad panda... -

Damn Grim stole my idea....;) Adding A keyring to the toolbelt to hold your keys would make sense and keep your tool slots from being overloaded with keys to cars. Also, perhaps require some kind of material component to hijack a car, i.e. scrapmetal. Some form of conductor is often required to actually hotwire a vehicle IRL. Its not just ripping some wires out from under the dash and crossing them. -

All our vehicles on Chicago 54 missing as well. Only thing different is that all the loot that was in the vehicles is spread out on the ground where the trucks were.

Just a suggestion, but having keys for the cars would be a good addition. Keys could be copied and given to comrades. Goes on a keyring that takes up a toolbelt slot. Cars could then ne hotwired and stolen with a toolbox and maybe some scrap metal. It doesn't make since that someone can just jack a car someone gets out of. Are you really going to leave the keys in it when you het out?

I realize this has likely already been covered, but I searched and couldn't find anything regarding my specific question. My server does not show when players log on or off of the server. I have been on other servers where this information shows up in red at the bottom left. Currently the only info that does that on our server is BattlEye stuff like admin messages I type etc. The weird thing is that it does say if a player is LOSING connection, but give no indication when someone joins or leaves. Also how does one turn on 3D waypoints, I.E. shift clicking on the map for visual representation of your destination. I cannot figure out which config option does it.

The first part makes me a sad panda. Any source? As to the second, on several servers, if you shift click a location on the map, a waypoint will pop up on your screen ingame to lead you to your location. Not all servers have this on, but some do. I believe it has something to do with the 'HUDWp' or HUDWpPerm' difficulty settings. -

I cannot find the where I am supposed to update the server to 1.7.1 from. I log into the Game CP from the HFB website. Go to game services, and nothing seems to have changed. I still have the same options I had before. Any advice? -

We had a chopper on one server and kept it outside the map boundaries. Server restarted several times, but the chopper kept respawning where it was saved there. We did eventually lose it, because the server "mysteriously" crashed while we were using the chopper in a raid. Pilot was respawned back where we been storing the huey, but no sign of the vehicle itself... -

I don't know how to do this, however. Grim's server and mine are the same one. It is an instanced server hosted by HFB. Can we check this file somehow? -
SRSLY? Ugh' date=' is it just the two camo's that BAF effects or is there more textures in the game that it applies to? [/quote'] Some of the vehicle skins are pretty low rez too. Particularly the right-hand drive Mil Offroad, which is pretty British looking. Likely it affects that too.

My clan has found an M107, FAL w/NV scope, MK 48 LMG, M24, two M14 Aimpoints, and several DMRs all at various crash sites. So loot does spawn. There are two different types of heli crashes btw. There are larger green helicopters, Blackhawks, that I ALWAYS find loot at, and there are smaller grey choppers, Venoms, I think, though they may just be Hueys, that have been more hit or miss for my clan. The grey ones are the ones with the chaingun currently stuck forward in a firing animation. This is a glitch as I am pretty sure you are supposed to be able to mount that gun and use it mow down the zed horde that surrounds the chopper. At least I think I saw a vid where that happened. Also, from our experience, the chopper crashes move around following server restarts.

Gamma exploit no longer works after one of the newer beta patches. And it won't work for anyone once 1.7.1 is released as it requires the beta. The night is unrealistically dark. I am all for it being hard to see, and after 1.7.1 with everyone being on a level playing field brightness and gamma wise, it should not be hard to make the night dark, but not TOO dark. Greyish vision out to ~20 meters would be sufficient to make the game playable at night while still giving NVGs, Flashlights, Chemlights, and Flares a reason to exist. Not being able to see your hand in front of your face is not how darkness works irl. -
