Use a online map from the dayz wiki, or dayzdb.com. Remember that even if you find a map, Dayz doesn't give your position on the map like a marker. You have to navigate oldfashion, compass, sun. And if you see clouds moving, they always move from west to east on chernarus. So if you turn your character in such a way, that the cloud move from left to right, you're facing North.

Been playing for 15 minutes in my lunch break, Kamenka spawn (of course ;) ). Server looks good, no lag, decent FPS. Going try some more tonight.

If you use the search option in Commander, you can search for their ingame name. If you want to play co-op with you friends, download TeamSpeak 3 or use Skype.

Yes, but public hives can go offline unexpectedly too. Only thing is your gear isn't lost.

Ping to high meant the reponse time between you and the server is very high, and servers can put a maximum ping in (i.e. 250.) Try to find a low ping server in Commander. You can also chose between a Official or private hive. You can recognize a private hive. It had a little cloud with a cross in it on the beginning of the server name. Official hive have the advantage, that your character and gear is being 'ported' to other official servers, so if you log in at another server, you still have your stuff. Bad thing is, official server are mostly overrun by hackers. Private servers usually have a lot of extra stuff, like extra vehicles and better starting gear. My advice, find a low ping private server with at least 25 players on it, and enjoy. EDIT: If you found a server you like, put it in your favourites!

Looks good, i'm gonna try it when i'm off from work! EDIT: Does the vehicle restart mean only wrecked vehicles or the live ones? If I have a hilux with gear in it, will it be lost after vehicle restart?

Yeah, but since you have a new host, my ping went up to 170+, not really playable, I haven't tried it yet though.

Razer game booster also come with a recording tool, only thing it doens't do automatically is record your own microphone. And Razer doens't have the massive Filesize Fraps does have. 10 mins is about 800 MB, depending on the quality setting. Here's the link.

Goodmorning all. For some reason when i put an image URL in a post or a signature, i just get the URL, not the real image. I've tried cpying the image url , aswell as copying the real image in. Same result. Anyone got any tips?

When i search for image signature i get a lot of topics the don't help, or have a completely different subject. I'll just keep fiddling with it, but thank you for the fast awnser guys!

didn't work. When i insert the url, the picture will appear, but when i press 'save changes', it only shows the URL.

If you're not the admin, but just a player, you prob should just try another server, and if the server has a forum, post a message about it. Had the same problem once, turned out the server needed some maintenance.

Been reading a few pages of this thread now, and from page 2 onward, it started to become a discussion between a few players about who's the idiot or not.... On topic, the fact that we have fake, 'unrealistic' foods and drinks wil definitely not break immersion IMHO. Finding an AK-74 kobra in a firehouse, is thát normal in russia?? nobody complaining about that ruining immersion. Stop complaining about this stuff, and let the mod be the mod, and let the Forum mods get the credit they well deserve!

yeah, if you go through vysota, take a right, and then take a dirtpath left. you'll get to some barns. but like i said, i don't think it's a spawnpoint.

It does spawn , i've had 2 since i started playing dayz in August. I had one on a private hive (not one with extra vehicles), and one in dayz 'vanilla'. if you head north out of cherno, through the little village, there are some barns on your right, a bit uphill. That's where i found the vanilla one, don't know if it's a spawn point though.
