You mean kinda of like a "single player" dayz in a sense? That would be kinda cool in a way. It would be sweet if they made like a quest/story mode or something for single player, almost a GTA kinda thing. idk, thats probably not what you meant at all :p

hey man, restart warnings don't happen IRL! jk :P I would like to see this too. I always get a bit nervous when the server restarts, cause at first I think something happened and all the servers are down lol. -
Anyone else getting this error message what starting Dayz?

http://imgur.com/BqFQfIT This message keeps popping up EVERY time I open dayz. After clicking OK or x'ing out of the message, dayz starts up just fine. The 1st time I started up dayz it didn't pop this up, but every time afterwards it has (I got it in the first few hours of release). I have tried validating my files with steam, and no errors or anything popped up. Is anyone else experiencing this issue, any ideas on how to fix it? :/ -

There are a few sticky threads just for this type of post.... but to answer your question, it looks like you can RUN it, however, I don't know how well. Your laptop looks comparable to mine, and I get around 25-30fps

Not to my knowledge :( The server list in general seems to be a bit derpy. When sorting from highest to lowest player count, ill get a big list of 40/40's, and in-between there will be an 11/40 and a 30/40. I'm sure these are all things that will get ironed out eventually. And hopefully they add a way to see the server you are on, like you said. Would be nice to let people know what server you are on :p

I love night time play, but nothing beats running around chernarus during the day :D In SA, I definitely agree, it looks great! Heck, even on lower (not low) settings it looks pretty good. -
Well I feel better that its not just me :D Hope they get a fix for this soon, I don't mind finding bugs and such, but frame issues like this give me a headache when I play :p

couple of general health questions from someone familiar with the Arma mod

The only question I can KINDA help you with is the rotten fruit. I ate some last night, and I got sick, eventually I started losing blood, and after an hour or so I passed out and died. Someone told me that charcoal tabs will cure sickness. I'm not sure how common it is to get sick from rotten fruit, but I only have eaten it once and got sick :/ -
If you read the full tweet, it says that the patch info was to follow, so we can probably expect the info in a few hours or so ( I would assume)

I think Rocket was asked about this on his last stream, I think he said it would be hard to implement, but they would look into it (don't have the source so I can't give an exact quote)

Don't forget the warning message when you load the game. Some things are not implemented yet, its an alpha. On another note though, I have yet to find a radio :O, time to add another thing to me "want to find" list -

I've been wondering that myself. It seems like its just a way to see who is joining a server. I know the Mod did it as well, and I never knew what it meant on there either lol. And if its just a player connecting nothing else, why does it say "modified data"? An explanation would be nice, instead of just stating the obvious :) -
I WANT to say that rocket talked about bow and arrows being hard to implement....I'll see if I can find a source. (I might be mistaking though)

I think they should leave the brightness, as if you just increase brightness on its own, it doesn't do a WHOLE lot. I increase my brightness just a bit so that I can actually navigate at night, but not enough so that I don't need a flashlight at all.

Thats odd, you have way better specs than me, and I can get pretty close to 30 fps on normal/high

I was somehow connected earlier, but I died shortly after and couldn't get back in :( Just keep F5'ing Rockets twitter :D -
Just go to filter settings and increase your ping limit to like...300, and alot more servers should pop up, including US. I did the same thing to connect to some EU servers ;)
