Awesome to hear. Regarding any feedback, what would be the best way to go about that?

Cori, thanks for getting this set up - looking good. I'm also set up with an account there too. :D

Looting barns and cities pointless?

Different strokes for different folks, Refried. Not everyone finds player killing to be thrilling. See the following links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bartle_Test and if you want to take the test: http://www.gamerdna.com/quizzes/bartle-test-of-gamer-psychology For example, I'm an explorer, primarily. -
Agreed!

I'll be messing around with the squad.xml stuff today, Publik. I'll do up a mock image, etc. that we can use as a sample until a more permanent image is selected.

For the hatchet and crowbar, are they considered a primary or secondary weapon in terms of slots?

(Another) Trading Post that might actually succeed?

I'd be honored and happy to help out with this endeavor, in any way I can. I've seen a lot of good discussion go on back and forth and hope to contribute. I have TS and I'll join the Steam group shortly. -
should there be regular resets on characters
BlargleKing replied to vanilladragon's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
While I agree with Vanilla that hacking/cheating/duping needs to be dealt with, a character reset is not the way to go about it. Why not? Simply for the reason that a reset is a band-aid, treat the symptom rather than the root problem sort of solution. The devs need to take a look at any and all data pertaining to duping, and implement a fix that prevents duping from occurring. Additionally, we as a community need to point out cases (proven or suspected) of duping to Rocket and team, and let them deal with the individuals involved. To answer your initial question - would people bother to dupe if they knew their gear was going to vanish in a month (apologies if I'm just repeating here)? Absolutely. The dupers would simply refine their process in order to speed it up even more. It's a sad but true scenario. Additionally, a mandatory reset puts a cap on what I, as a player, can set my sights on. There's only so much of a challenge I can put to myself in terms of survival time because regardless of what I do I'll just be reset. I've got some pretty decent strategies as it stands for survival (many from the community here) and I only tend to die when I deviate from the rules I've set for myself. I realize my response is likely tl;dr so to recap: Fix the duping/hacking - Yes. Punish honest players with a fixed reset - No. -
Completely unable to die [1.8.5.4]

First of all, kudos to all of you for your honesty, a lot of players wouldn't amid that sort of an advantage. Maybe that's the point in the game where you trade in a gun for a sword, and can only die when your head is taken? :)
