My question is, how many would use a Musket? Cool weapons, but totally useless, the double-barrel Shotgun is a waste of time, but atleast it got 2 shots. EDIT: Must say that some ideas are really REALLY stupid. Yes this is a game but a survival simulator game(mod atm). I don't know how much most of you know about Simulator games. Let's just say they are not World of Warcraft, Call of Duty, Battlefield or any of those kind of games. In a simulator game you gotto think like you do in Real life, most of them time atleast. So would any one of you run around with freakin medivel gear? Form a group, Knights of the Chernarus with sword and shields like retards and be gun down by someone? "It's just a game" yes it is just a game but trust me, you will need to buy a new keyboard after your fun trip to those castles.

Why make the suggestion when the idea is already there? Obviously they have thought to having femae characters in the game since they actually put that option into the game. You are just whining because some servers(Nothing that the devs can control) turn of that option. So your "suggestion" is invalid, you HAVE choice to play on a server that gives you the option to play a female character, no one is forcing to play on one server that doesn't have the option. Can someone please lock this thread? It's meaningless.

I was hoping I was wrong. Never said they aren't capable. Just said that no country(With not so much fact though). Until now I hadn't heard any country allowing women to be on the front line where soldiers die. Some servers have done that yes, but isn't that there right to have their own rules on their own servers they pay their own money to keep up? If you got an opinion about it, then talk to the owner of that server. The server I'm on also shut that option off because people started to whine when they couldn't use ghillie suit if they had a female character skin. And you say you don't care for the ghillie suit, but trust me the world isn't spinning around you and what you think. Other people do exist too you know. Short said, their servers, their rules, don't like them? Look for a new server. If you can't swim, don't jump into the pool. Also, the thread is useless since they WILL fix the bugs around the female skins. No need to go radical feminism on it all.

DayZ is based on Arma 2, Arma 2 is a war game. Although women can join the army in many countries none of them allow women to be where the bullets are shot. I'm 100% sure that this is something they will fix until the standalone and nothing to talk about.

Actually it makes them less civilized not less human. I like to look at it like this. Kids can act evil, some say cruel, they hit other kids and don't understand why people get angry. This is because they are closer to beeing human than an adult who grow up and learn to be civilized. That's because humans are predators, we are ment to kill. most kids grow out of it, they become less human and more civilized. That's why I use to call people in jail more human than us not in jail(Or us who have not done something to deserve jail time). just saying :D

I hope the Devs read what Dallas wrote, because my god I don't want another game I like to be ruined by Devs who think "casual" noobs should be just as good as someone who have played for much longer by the time that casual noob have reached Elektro for the first time.

Although I support it, I wouldn't want it in the game. It was start a wave of whine from people. The system that makes everyone equal in a game is perfect, it gives no one a reason to whine. The world works like that, if someone is better than someone else they want what makes that person better nerfed to the ground. Right now, nobody got anything that makes that person better than anyone else. Don't speak of "better weapons" they aren't really hard to find, people who whine about that are lazy and shouldn't play in the first place. Time+effort=pofit.

I've seen many servers where you can choose a female skin. I think all public servers have this option as well. I'm sure they will make that option much better once the Standalone comes, nothing that they need to think about right now I'd say.

We have all seen those kind of entrences while driving IRL on mountain sides or maybe been out in the woods walking with a dog or by yourself. This should exist in DayZ aswell, maybe like a dungeon if you wanna call it that but it's not like you reload into another map. It's just like walking into a building, open the door, you go in, meet tunnels and rooms that are pitch black to search for food, drinks, medicine, weapons, ammo, fuel for your cars(Fuel are also used to power up generators in these kind of vaults.). At the same time you hear Zombies, because the civilian people who got there couldn't keep the virus out so it got into the vaults. They roam around in there because they don't find anything else usefull to do. And ofcourse also other players who are tempted to go in there to look, maybe for the thrill to kill players or kill Zombies or to simply just feeling it's worth risking your life to get some food. So not only do you battle Zombies and other players, but also the pitch black darkness. Got a flashlight? Yeah probably, then use it and bring a friend or if you are lucky enough to have a weapon with a flashlight mounted you can use that. Or even better, NVG that makes you a whole lot safer inside these big dangerous survival vaults. I'd love to go explore stuff like that. :)

You have to agree that Fallout 3 is a great game with great concept. A game such as this which in my opinion is already great but with more realistic feature such as a safe shelter/bomb shelter/nuclear shelter should be something that would fit perfectly in DayZ as it is a survival game(Also a simulator of what could happen in real life, from what I've read from people).

Is it not just easier if they make it so if you die. YOU can't loot your own corpse except other players perhaps. That would make loners afraid think twice, and as a loner and you die, you think someone you don't know will help you out? ;)

Actually I wasn't thinking about Fallout at all, that's an assumption on your part. Why I got the idea was because a few weeks ago on a site here in Sweden where people sell stuff, I saw one of these war/nuclear vaults beeing sold for around 60k euro(660k Swedish crowns). So basicly I didn't think of Fallout from the beginning.

I stopped reading at Lord of the Rings and now I see Red Dead Redemption. Compaing a modern era game to Lord of The Ring Which is not only VERY unrealistic and probably in another timeline far away into a hidden Galaxy in in the corner of shame in space is just not cool. Red Dead Redemption is though in out timeline and on the same planet but still not valid for comparison. Although, horses still lives though, it's not like they are outdated. plus all the bronies would be happy as hell to ride around on horses which they could imagine is pooping rainbows and giggles alot. Myself, I hate horses, I'd shoot the first horse i'd see with or without a rider just to do it, then I'd cut it up and cook the meat, horse meat is tasty! Just saying. :D

I don't know where it is discrimination or racism if some people simply can't speak English so they play on a Server where they can understand eachother. And some want to have a server where only people speak that language, which is understanding. I'm guessing these admins that bans people because they don't speak Russian for exemple don't want their server to be overflowed with people who speak English for exemple. The suggestion you made is stupid, you can easily avoid getting banned if that is what you are talking about, by not joining those kind of servers. I out of MANY people wont join a Russian only server. And if I would I wouldn't go on to the forum and whine about getting kicked/banned if I broke the servers rules. You sound like a feminist. They always insist on going places they are not welcome and starts whine discrimination.

Why? Or will the digital version that you will be able to buy and download gonna go out of stock? Sounds very unlikely that a virtual item is gonna sell out.
