I have to disagree, if you like playerencounters and your not whiney about loosing your stuff to a glitch its the game to go. Its right now the most intense gameplay i have ever enjoyed. After all its a learning factor even if you play every patched version only once, its absolutly worth it! I for myself will play the game to master each feature it delivers and in my opinion joining the game right now will help with this learning process. -

That Sir is just mean. They implented more than just an emote and tried to stabilize the build. They rushed it to early with to little testing but they defenetly heading the right way! -

Its great to see some progress but i belife like many others i spoke to, that that patch was released to early and causes more problem than it actually fixes. Got about 10 people in my group and every singleone experience the same FPS drop issue what leaves us unable to play the game. Next time keep us waiting a bit longer for more extensive testing periods on the experimental breanch. Keep up the good work! -
Great Patch, but zombies should not aggro that bad when you are voicechatting, they are haering you from about 40 Meters away, or give a whispervoicechat funktion where your voice reaches only 3 meters or somthing like that.

Try make a camp in the Badlands (Areas far behind Bopeba Dam/Airfield/Balcklake) You have to go for a while to get there but your stuff is absolutly safe for weeks or months. Try build more than only one camp sp if one gets robbed, you still have an other, dont make your camps to big (only 2 to 3 tents). You can survive in the Badlands too, since there are spawning no Zets but Animals for meat do and there is plenty of freshwater you can fill in Waterbottles. Only thing negativ is, its just freeking boring out there, but that is it what makes it save(dont place cars next to your tents since they can be spotted by the Heli so easy[Vehiclecompass]). -

I kind of really dont getting your point? By overkille i meaned to much new coding for weapons that will not used much if anyhow. Airguns are pretty common today, pls look in the internet to get yourself an idea of how much airsoftsportguns are out there(maby you are german? than Airsoftgun means Luftdruckgewehr), that can be modded really easy to more poweroutput. I dont understand what is a superhardcoremode when you not got like ten DMR mags in your backback but only one or two. I am not against Bandits, that is one of the feature that makes the game great and a heros become througth them a real Hero, so no problem with sniping Bandits and a backbag full of ammunition, as long as he deserves from scavenging or by robbing it. Are you allrigth man? You are quiet aggressiv without making any further prozess to the topic so whats your point? That a Game isnt "easy" dont means it isnt accesable, never mentioned that it should be less accesable or something so? As you can see on other Games(like Dark Souls), Hardcoregamemode is quiet in comming rigth now. If you whant a game that is easyer to get in serach for something else. Like Arma2/Arma3 there you dont got to think about survival aspects, but here in a survivalgame you should! -

I am thinking ideas are generally good but overkilling the thema a bit. In my opinion i would see devs work on other things than Skis or the posibility to build an oneshotgun, who surly noone ever will use. I sugest leave all wapons as they are an only make ammonition really really rare. Everybody in the apocalypse should wear a Gun, but having the ammo for fireing is an complete other question. To the point of Wapon maintance. i am obviosly pro to this, so i really like the idea of desintegrating or in battle jaming weapons but, some people think a little rain an mud will kill a weapon fast. Thats not true, what makes the guns life hard is to use(fire) it. You can actually take an AK47 direkt out of muddy wather where it was for days and you still should be able to unload your clip with rigth away. This Weapon is so simple build that you dont eaven need real maintance tools. If its dirty take a Shoelace some kitchenoil and clean the shaft, weapon is ready to use again. In my country (Austria) there are many weapons in the ground the rivers and woods and so on, they are few today but when you are lucky and have a metaldedector you will maby be able to find some old russian, american or german rifles or pistoles, and when you are a little more lucky that gun will still be able to fire. I am for momemade guns like a potatogun, a selfbuild Airgun eaven an higthpower Airgun would be nice (~240-400 Joule, sportairguns have about 7 joule). Bows would be nice, and you could make the ammo for them yourself from wood you can gather from forrests. The skinning knife as actual weapon with the ability to instantkill from behind with mouswheeloption, as long as you got the Knive in Hand. A wooden stick that you can get from any tree with the ability to throw it. Human excrement in a Bottle, you dont see smoke but has the same effekt on Zets like a Smokegrenade. Zombiefakestance, give the ability to cover yourself with zombieblood and stuff, and makes your animations change to Zet animation so that players and zombies (as long as you stay in your camo with slow movement and so) will take you just for an other Zombie if they dont look really close or are really near. An Harpune would be nice to, makes sounds like an normal gun but you can get back the Bolts when you are able to find them again. Gasmask and poisongas would be nice for sectioncontroll to. Nailgun bad aiming but ammo like a machinegun on a Belt. Slingshot. -

Would make you and your friends more cooperativ, so as everybody else, cause you would have to be good with some other guys that you maby meet ingame. It would make the need for sociality bigger. I dont know what Rocket and if he had said something about skilltrees, but in my opinion, i postet everyting in () that wasnt so Threadrelated and wrode that it was only my personal opinion. At last it would make it more simulation like. Please read exactly. Fixin with scrap metal was Mechanik1 in my little mindgame^^. I am most time a loner and friendly to, i got a RL on my own, but thank for informing me that you have one eigther XD. Gamemechanics have nothing to do with gametime you put in, got to do with features, noone tells you that it is meant to fix an car that fast or needing 20 hours for it, or needing you to bring a friend. Rigth now you can fix a car on your own in like 5 minutes. With something like that i have mentioned, one would scout it, bring information back to an bigger group that are now heading out and trying to get the Car for the group. It doesnt matter for the loner sniper Bandit, cause he snipes People out of Cars and steals it, and for friendlys would be a nice encouragement to work to getter, an so on build bigger forces. Ok maintheme of my post was that i think that NPCs are to weak, when there are more of them and they actually can kill you everywhere most problems should be solved....but surly not all! -

You are good in explaining what DayZ isnt. But either seam to have no clue what DayZ is! Rigth now its mostly an DM with a cople of zombies and some survival features, but that is not what makes the game great. Its like in Minecraft, the fantasies that people have, of what this game could be like someday. Rocket anounced that he whant to fill so much content in the game, that not every User will be ever using every single option the game will have for you. I am against removing the weapons and i think they are prety good ballanced(as long as cheaters will be sorted out), but i am clearly for an "one person cant do everything" invention for the Game. Everyone should be able to survive alone, but it should be easyer when you gather in groups, cause of the broader skill varaity (Medicin skill unlocks medical option or something. Like you have to ballance your Char pregame in diffrent skills.[everyone can take painkillers] Medicin1: gives you ability to pach Bandages. Medicin2: gives you the ablility to give Epipens. Medicin3: gives you the ability to give Morpine. Medicine4: gives you the ability to give Bloodbags.[everyone can repair Wheels] Mechaniks1: gives you the ability to patch scrap metall. Mechaniks2: gives you the ability to fix glas. Mechaniks3: gives you the ability to repair fueltanks and engineparts. Mechaniks4: gives you the ability to fix Mainrotor. Or something like this would be nice in my opinion.). Mainproblem, rigth now are the NPC´s, they are to weak, when you play Namalsk you will learn that people are much more cooperativ when the Terrain is more dangerous. -

I personally dont really care if my weapons where on the ground in a pile or hanging in a beautyfull layout over an chimney. But i would be nice to make "dead body containers" that are spawning in the wilderness for example. Main problem for Animals i think is the AI, you surley know that there will be dogs ingame, so some people think if there will be dogs to find, there will be maby wild dogs to attack you, but something like that dont got confirmed. I would say first fix the zombies, than fix the peacefull anymals ingame (they are so slow you can kill every Animal with an Axe [except for the rabbit who is the most realistic animal in the Game rigth now]). than you may be thinking of new enemys. -
I dont really care if it will come next year or this, but some infos still would be quiet nice.

There is no recipe for "how to make playercontacts". You can only try to show them/him/her that you friendly in all possible ways and eaven then you may get killed.

How to lose Chasing Zombies, even a "horde"

As i mentioned in an other thread you can eaven loosing them with walking inside a house (small lumber hut for example) then switch stances so that you are nealy not hearable or visible (like for the icons, you still would be pretty easy to see for a player) if you think your eye- and earicon isnt low egnouth (both bars should be empty or with max 1 bar in one of the two categories) you should proun and shift prund really slowly in the last ege of the room(you will make no sound or be visible with this type of movement inside houses). Stay calm and on the ground only moving your head to look at the entering zombies. They will come an really slowly, go slowly to the point where the heard the last noise(that depends on how far the zombie was away in each stance), some of them will eaven go rigth to you or pass you, unless you dont make any noises they will wander off, going outside the house and back to where they came i think(never followed them after i left the building). From time to time when you aggroed a really large mass of zombies and using this trick, or the bush/tree trick, one or two zombies will stay where they last heard the your noise. @ Dallas: monkza meant that you can create a new steamaccount, bye the game on this new account and play until its banned. Then make a new steamacc and buy the game once more. That would work i think, as long as you create a new emailadress anlong with the new account(no idea if VAC bannes IP-adress). @monkza: the normal cheater on DayZ is, i think, a kiddie who needs to win cause he/she is scared and cant do otherwise and not the super average monsterhacker. When it comes to the second one, be sure that nothing will keep him from sucessfully hacking the game. But the most of the common kiddie hakusers will get discouraged from that and that will at last make the gaming experience much better i think. Every 4th death i had was cause of an confirmed hacker, no idea how many hacked only weapons an stuff, or how many got hacked equipment.

Female Zombies would be like male zombies NPCs, i think i dont get your point? Female Playerchars are available since i play this game, so..... I never thougth about the charakterskins in ut. Gamestyle was Deathmach, or teamdeathmach, so there isnt much to ask bysides friend or foe(In DM everyone is a foe in TDM not teammembers are). DayZ is diffrent in this point, you got to chose for your self if you are hostile or friendly and that lady down the firestation maby really is a female noob in her first gaminghours, or a guy likes to see a female a** shaking on his screen. You cant knew befor, its like saying all americans are creatonists only cause a couple are, or in my chase all austrians are nazis only cause the majority of my ancestors where.(Just a comparison, dont take that to seriosly.) @Cibiksebak: New Zombieskins will be implanted after time, there is much noise around cause of female zombies, so i think rocket wont overhear that wish from the community. -
Change the density of with the Zombies are spawning in the forrest. The forrest should not be overrun with them, but they got to be there to, they got to be everywhere so that they can be an constant threat every player has to worry about all the time. Zombies rigth now cant attack you while in a conifer tree or really close to a bush(when you manage to get in a house and change stance to a less noisy stance while moving in, zombies will go straigth to you, but cant find you if you eye- and earicon is low or empty. When they attack you they run towards you from a couple of meters, if they dont show that behavior and keep on slow walking you can stay on the ground without moving and the zombie will turn around and leave you alone on the ground.). So you can hide from them, but if you are to obvious, other players will see the zombie surronded tree and know you are there. With this tricks, zombies get more and more easy to overcome(you can eaven fire out of a tree or bush and they wont be able to find or hit you). Or run around cherno getting attention of all Zombies in town, then simply run in an building using the stancechange for lower visibility and hide from all of them.

Other ideas are eaven as good as yours. But your point is a good one i think. (Other questions are not irelevant, i do like the fact that you will be able to costomize your avatar, you cant really be mad at someone who is happy about that fact, and jeah, Hats are great ;) ) Zombies are to weak rigth now, i think thats cause of there limited numbers. A Player should always fear zombies the most. I dont think Zombies are to weak in gerneral, they are only to few and on to less places. Only playermade shelters should be a safezone from Zombies, not the entire wilderness. Shooting a player should always concern you what to do with the surly coming zombieaggro rigth while the figth or after the figth.

Most things will be implanted, as far as i know. Besides the noises i think wont get an overhaul, cause you can change the settings for yourself in the Audio menu. 1.7.5 will change the "bloodicon" so that you can see, how much blood is left. No Idea if they changed that for Nurishment and thirst to, but i know that the "temperatureicon" eaven got an overhaul, so that its easyer to say when you are cold and when you are warm. Please everybody, since rocket anounced that the tryes to make an MC like development, DayZ wont be finished at all when the Standalone comes out, so: expect the worst and hope for the best. That means Rocket will do everything (eaven delay the release) to make it a stable game, but every game has his teething problems.

Hey, would love to see something like boxing/weaponless figthing. Maby brass knuckles to find, so that you can make your unarmed attacks a little more powerfull. A Slingshot would be nice, that has invinate ammo (rigthklick "search ammo for slingshot" makes you take 5 small stones, as mag for it from the ground) and makes no noise. Sniper air rifle, weakest sniperrifle, with nearly no sound and no smoke from the gunshot. Combine empty whiskeybottle with a little gas and an bandage, voila Molotov cocktail. Sword, strongest melee weapon, makes everyone a oneshot no matter where you hit. -
Hi, my ingame Name is Axon0p62, if you i see you without a Weapon i will give you support. If you got a weapon i will maby try to contact you, depends on your behavior. Had once a heroskin, but lost it cause of killing bandit like behaving survivors. My nativ langue is german, so i dont try to longtime teamup with english speeking, leads most of the time to confusion on both sides, what isnt really heathy. cu ig, gl&hf meanwhile :) EDIT: Changed my IG name to Jack Walters now :D

Weee, seams like i hit a nerve with that one. First and for all, i did not whant to offend anyone, sorry if it sounded like that. We all got our hopes for this game, time will show what will come. I do play DayZ now for about three mounths, never played Arma but I played Operation Flashpoint befor.^^ Thanks for pointing that one out :) Second: My idea of the skillsystem had no impact on the PvP or lootingtable as it is, in fact the system takes only inplanted parameters. I will explian again: When you spwan a new charakter you will have the opinion to choose from several classes (Backgrounds). Like bevor the apocalypse you where an Doctor of Medicin, you are the only one that can give epipens, morphium and bloodtransfusions. You where an Mechanican, so you know how to fix engine parts and Fuelparts. Or you where an soldier (only Background with not implanted feature ingame) you can maintance weapons, while others cant bring them back to work again, after they jamed. (I dont whant to change the game really, but something must be done to get people beeing more social and cooperativ, thats the reason for my other post, with the Stammina you got to refill by explecit resting to.) I think other ideas are not bad eighter, but some would have to much impact on the overall gamestyle, i think. Thanks anyhow for sharing your thougths and ideas.
