    Hive Log Question

There are a few anomalies you'll notice, especially with the DayZ anti teleport system they've been working on. Nice to see you're keeping an eye on your logs and tracking things the right way. Cheers
  4. Just find a new private hive to play, not worth wasting your time with people who can't handle running their server properly. There's nothing that can be done about private hive admins, but the players speak for themselves--thanks for warning everyone about yet another server to avoid. Cheers

    Script restriction #210

Script restrictions refer to your BattlEye filters. Check the corresponding .txt to see which line the restriction lives on: ie. kicked for script restriction #210 -- line 210 of scripts.txt on your server. You can also check the log that corresponds with the filter to see if there is any information pertaining to why the player was kicked. Hope this is somewhat useful Cheers

Looking for a group to play the game with

Feel free to hit up our official hive, we've got a teamspeak setup for it. You'll see the connection info in the MOTD scroll when you join the server. Cheers!
  10. Adminning a server definitely can be a tiresome job, and is rarely a rewarding task. It's not for everybody; however, if you have the patience to do it--and you can ignore the children constantly begging/complaining/flaming then it's a way to have a clean (ish) place to play. I run an official hive--so the extra voodoo sauce isn't something we have available to our admin staff to use for tracking players and loot etc. That being said, I definitely spend more time doing menial admin tasks than I do playing the game--but when I do get to play I know it's in a fun environment and for that I'm thankful.

    Building pc for DayZ.

You can pick up an i3 for ~$115 and that would be just fine. I agree with ICU here. You could also pick up an AMD FX series for ~$100 for a quad core in the 3.6ghz range. Personally, I prefer Intel for CPU choices, but it's hard to deny the value in the AMD offering. Intel i3 2105 ~$115 (3.1ghz dual core + hyperthreading) AMD FX-4100 ~$100 ( 3.6ghz quad core) Decide for yourself which is your best processor, then choose an appropriate motherboard (per your cases spec, and your needs) and you could be off and running quite cheap.

    Building pc for DayZ.

In terms of a CPU, I wouldn't recommend a Pentium dual core to anyone--let alone a gamer. You will be disappointed, I can just about promise this. If you're on a tighter budget, do what INickeragua has done and build an AMD system. You will most certainly get more bang for your buck with a quality AMD cpu than a budget Intel cpu. Just my $.02

    Building pc for DayZ.

If you post the exact specs of the build you're considering (or the video referencing the specs at the very least) I'm sure you'll get a myriad of responses from the peanut gallery. That being said--you haven't really told us much about your needs (aside from wanting to run DayZ). Do you have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, operating system, etc. ready to go? What exactly is it we can do to help you? If you're looking for just generic advice on what a minimum requirement gaming PC should include you may benefit from grabbing a bundle (as mentioned above by ICU) if you already have a case/psu/etc. Give us a bit more info, and we'll be a lot of help ;) Cheers

    Whats with my gpu?

Overclocking is a fairly subjective topic in general, I'll start with that. What one user experiences will likely be vastly different than the next user, and so on down the line. First thing I do when aiming for a gain in performance in a game/application is the demands. If it's more CPU or GPU bound. A game like Arma/DayZ you're going to need CPU horsepower to process what is happening. If your current motherboard allows for a CPU upgrade, I would start there. You haven't listed your system's specs with much detail, so it's hard to really say a lot on this particular aspect; however, you've OC'd from 2.9 to 3.2 which is only a 300mhz increase. 3.2ghz may sound like a better number, but in the grand scheme of things it's not a large increase. Do you have any more OC headroom here? Can you bring the CPU up more (safely) to increase performance here? These are things I would look at. Be mindful of your system's voltages as well as temperatures when doing this. OC'ing requires a lot of trial and error, and thorough testing before it can be called stable. As for your GPU. It's been stated, and is no secret, that the 7750 is a mid range card. Sure, it can be overclocked, which will yield a performance increase albeit a minor one. If you keep up with current hardware testing and GPU overclocking, I think you'll see that even on a very high end system an average fps increase is likely going to be in the 3-10 frame ballpark when in comes to in-game results. If your voltages can remain stable, and you've got the cooling for it--this is another way to slightly increase performance. Recording. Are you streaming, or actually recording? I know players with OC'd i5 boxes (4ghz+) that, when streaming, have quality issues. The fix is typically to set up a dedicated rig (separate pc) to handle the encoding. Running a game such as Arma/DayZ whilst encoding is going to take an exorbitant amount of processing power. If you're truly looking for quality, I would guess that you would want to look into the suggestions given above about upgrading your pc to handle your specific demands. Hope a bit of this is useful. Cheers

    Looking for a group

Feel free to come play with us any time. We have a great group of fun regulars, and the server tends to have people in it at most hours of the day. It's a NY server, not sure if that's what you're looking for or not. We also have a teamspeak, the connection info is in the server's MOTD when you first join. Hope to see you out there! Cheers p.s. if you're looking to join a community we are taking in new members currently, only real requirements at this point are to have Teamspeak and be willing to hold a mature conversation whilst playing with people.

    Script-kiddy destroyed our server

You could also add the player's IP/GUID (or both) to your bans.txt file that lives in the /cfgdayz/battleye/ directory on your server. Cheers p.s. don't hesitate to ban a cheater, but be sure (as it sounds like you have) that you're banning someone for the right reason.

    Instance ID

If your ticket is with a Game Server Provider (GSP) you won't be able to find much info here. Depending on who your host is, it could take a while to get a response to your ticket--as many hosts don't have as active support channels... If possible, you might consider cancelling and finding a new host? Ask around to see which hosts seem to be performing well. I use HFB, and while they are not very quick to respond usually--they are willing to help as much as they can. Expect 24-48 hours for a response, though. Cheers

How do you update Battleeye scripts?

They are created in conjunction with Dwarden, so they are the same (for the most part). Focused, of course, on security.
  23. Feel free to bring your crew to our server if you're looking for some opposition or even if you'd just like to work together. Our guys are always up for some action.
