Anyone explain this to me, #0761DC
TG ! Jimmy replied to Jordanskar (DayZ)'s topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Nothing we can do about global bans. Need to visit Battleye support, mate. -
Frame freezes every couple of seconds.. (video) Any ideas?
TG ! Jimmy replied to Babyface's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Double check that your CPU and GPU coolers are both 100% secured. I've seen issues with a cooler that isn't firmly seated causing issues just like this. -
There was recently a filter that was kicking people for accessing the 'gear' of vehicles. Sounds like you're a victim of this, nothing more. I wouldn't sweat it--once the server updates their filters they should be fine. Else, find another server. Things like this happen often enough, all we can do as admin is keep our eyes out for patterns and edit filters as need be. Prost!

US 3480 is New York based, runs GMT-10 so the "daylight" hours tend to be 1030-2230 eastern (roughly) and has an increasingly fun atmosphere. It's an official hive, and we've got a teamspeak you can feel free to join. Cheers

Dearest LoK, For this line, you have received my painstakingly collected beans. Thank you, kind sir. @OP It's important--in my semi-humble opinion--to remember that games tend to evolve. DayZ today is not what it was upon it's release. As mentioned above (more than once) as the game evolves it can move from one style into more than one style; as in, official hive and private hive. The standalone (SA) doesn't necessarily need to conform to the styles that the mod currently holds, because it will evolve on it's own. Who knows, maybe you'll even like the SA better in it's original form, or a while down the road once it's had time to mature as a game and become a deliciously seasoned experience. In any case, take from it what you will. I'll be Elektro having a pint of Chernarus Brewing Company's finest stout. Cheers

I would have guessed the same thing. If you're using a PC, it could be the heatsink/fan (HSF) on your video card has detached partly or the fan is dying on it--have you ever cleaned it out? Might be time to remove it, and reapply quality thermal paste. Else, it could need replacing entirely. If you're using a laptop I would double check internal system temps (BIOS, or 3rd party software) and be certain you're not over temps. If you are, find a way to cool them as Elf Cakes did. Also (as mentioned by BadLuckBurt) verify you're using vanilla files, and the latest drivers for your device! Cheers -
Server info labels need updating!!!!
TG ! Jimmy replied to George-Smiley's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
You'll find a few quality servers out there that take the time to properly update their server description when they do server updates. Sadly, it seems every time there's an update--you see a plethora of servers die off because they aren't updated at all. Survival isn't only an in-game issue, evidently! Feel free to stick our server in your favorites--we keep it updated, and have free beer. Kidding, of course. Or am I? -
Tenacity Gaming | US3480 | Recruiting
TG ! Jimmy replied to TG ! Jimmy's topic in Clan / Group Recruitment
If anyone is looking for a community to play with on a vanilla official hive, we're still taking some new members. Come to teamspeak, BYOB (bring your own beans). We've still got some free beer. I'm kidding. But seriously, we have it. -

It was actually 46th in the world, but who's counting? :P -
This.

We have a NY based server that drums up decent traffic. Feel free to stop buy, there's free beer in Elektro today. Just kidding, but seriously, we've got free beer.

DayZ on two monitors: Game + Browser?
TG ! Jimmy replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
If you play the game in windowed mode, it will stop the problem--as mentioned above. Common issue with dual-screening. -
As mentioned above, we're always happy to have more people to play with at US3480. It's a NY based server, people from all over seem to ping well enough to it. Hope to see some new faces out there! Cheers

Cheers! :beans:

Give it a whack with your hatchet once, then try. For some reason this seems to allow the repairs to happen when vehicles get bugged.

Thanks for the post, Require; also, thanks to everyone else for the kind words. Sadly, the server had to migrate IP's--we were formerly ranked 46th in the world and we've taken quite a knock on our traffic. We put a lot of effort into keeping the server running well, and to keep the cheaters out. Hopefully traffic bounces back to what it once was, and we can continue having a good time! Cheers

Script Restriction #253 Help!
TG ! Jimmy replied to killersquires's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Then I've given some poor intel, apologies. Check your scripts.log to see what is triggering this filter--and use that information to track it. ;) -
Script Restriction #253 Help!
TG ! Jimmy replied to killersquires's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Find line #253 in your scripts.txt file and either comment it out--or have it log without kicking. You haven't really described what exactly is the issue, but I hope this is of some use.. cheers -
Vehicles not respawning
TG ! Jimmy replied to Lumberjack (DayZ)'s topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Cheers to R4Z0R for all the work here, it doesn't go unnoticed! :beans: :beans: :beans: -
I see your side of the story, but consider the world after the breakdown of the fabric of society. Initially people would still try and hold true the things that make our world the way it is--but even that will break down. Banditry truly would take over the vast majority of the land until organization took over again. The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun (in the given scenario) is a good guy with a gun. Until there is a viable alternative, the bandits will bandit. it's the easiest route.

The tale of the great search for a server host
TG ! Jimmy replied to dayz247's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Understood. I'm a big fan of the added features as well, but for all intents and purposes we don't need it for our community--so we stick to a GSP package. Hopefully your experience is better this time around, matey! Cheers -
The tale of the great search for a server host
TG ! Jimmy replied to dayz247's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Tried HFB servers yet? Every review is going to be subjective, and every GSP has their pros and cons; however, HFB's been pretty good to me. I've probably put in over a dozen support tickets asking for XYZ access and inquiring about various things. They recently upgraded all of their servers (which moved my IP, which is my one complaint) to a "DDoS-Proof" network, so their "ultimate dayz" package offers a 50 slot official hive for $30/mo. Like you said: desync happens, that's just DayZ. I wouldn't base your whole experience off random desync, assuming it's random. Sorry to hear about your first few (nightmare) servers, man. I can only imagine that really ruined the experience for you--and made it tough to build a fun userbase to play with. Cheers -
Hit our server up, it's official hive on Veteran difficulty. There's a good group of regulars there (despite our recent IP migration that killed traffic) so you should be able to find people to play with--and you can join our teamspeak if you'd like. Cheers

Error while joining the server
TG ! Jimmy replied to StealerSlain's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling your game versions yet? I know it sounds simple--but it helps a lot of errors.
