This is why you were banned, as Brick mentioned. You invited regulars of my server into a VOIP session, where they heard you (and your mates) discussing cheating--explaining your cheats (and how you were using them in my server) and you guys were advertising said cheats. All that being said, if you PM me we can work this out. I'm willing to give you a second chance in the server, against my better judgement. You say you just happened to catch up with PLAYER1 and he was giving you items--but that conflicts with over half a dozen stories I received from my regulars. The logs did show you having hacked gear, and in addition to the stories I was told--you caught a ban. I read your long story, I hope you read mine. On a personal note, I'm sorry for your loss--but I hope you can understand why you were banned and acknowledge that this second chance is purely a show of good faith on our part. Cheers

Most people will likely refer you to the search bar in the top right and recommend you dig through the forums--but I'll just make it simple and say you'll want to get yourself a minimum of an Intel i3 but I'd recommend spending as much as your budget allows on the CPU (i5 or even better go i7). Of course, it's all about budget--find what you can spend and be certain you don't waste your money on something underpowered. There are a plethora of examples throughout the forums--and other sites such as "Can I Run It?"

You didnt mention if you had already uninstalled Arma/DayZ and reinstalled them. Have you done this? I would certainly try it. Typically I would suspect this is a serverside issue, but if no one else is having the issue you might try the uninstall/reinstall route...

I enjoyed it, I like these situations. Adds some spice to the server!

I've often thought about things a bit differently. If we are to assume that you begin the game as a "survivor", I would like to think that you're assuming the life of your character. Moving forward, to be a "survivor" of the events leading up to the decay of the fabric of society I find it hard to believe you would have survived with no supplies at all. It's not unreasonable to think that a small bailout bag (bug out bag, emergency kit, survival pack, get out of dodge pack, insert any generic survivalist term here) is something this "survivor" would have on them. There are dozens of simple things that are commonly in such kits/bags/etc. that people either buy or put together themselves. Of course not every item someone would potentially have in their pack would be feasible in the given-scenario of the game; however, there are plenty of items that could be in your "bug out bag" when you spawn that could have been used to create a bit of backstory. Not that we need much plot in the game, but just saying that personally I'd like to see a "survivor" as someone who has at least a few bare essentials that's propelled them through the initial onslaught of the apocalypse. Just my $.02

There's a sizeable learning curve to just getting comfortable with the controls/UI and some of the clumsy features of the game as-is; however, I wouldn't let that deter you from buying it. It's a great game, and a hell of a concept. You're welcome to join up our server, there are plenty of seasoned players who are more than willing to help newer players out. We've got a teamspeak as well, if you're familiar with that program. Easy way to meet up and get some advice from guys that have been playing a while. The survival aspect of the game will be quite fun, and certainly is do-able on your own. Of course, to add a touch of realism, every time you come across another player is a chance for you to either make a friend or an enemy--which as you've said is quite a bit like TWD. Obviously, you're not a golfer. Come up to the porch, grab a glass and some bourbon; it's story time: Couple of my mates were telling me that a survivor approached them in the woods the other day; went on to shoot at them (wounding one) then started yelling "Friendly!" in direct. He then proceeded to ask for medical attention, they patched him up (like fools) and let him take their ATV. He drives for a bit, jumps off and kills one of them. Again in direct starts with "friendly!". Having learned a lesson (finally) the last remaining one of my crew tells the survivor to go to the middle of the roadway if he wants medical attention. The 'survivor' goes there, and is summarily executed. After this, my mate goes to his body grabs a soda and says into side-chat "mmm this soda is delicious". Thus concludes story time with Uncle Jimmy. Finish your drinks and get the hell off my friggin lawn.

I believe this is the bug with the anti-teleport system. When changing skins (happens at playerspawn & changing clothes) it "sends" you to debug then back, and the anti tp system currently is treating this as a player teleport. Some players (typically hero skin) experience this when they spawn. They will loop over the water and fall for a period of time before eventually dying. Seems that disconnecting/reconnecting or sometimes running the second you spawn are interim fixes for this until 1.7.7 allows servers to disable the anti tp system (and fixes the 'seagull' bug).

These are the two things that typically cause this. I would guess he was on the docks, just because he mentioned he was in Elektro when he looted the tent. This can be done by someone cheating though, maybe ask the server admin/s if they've seen anything in their logs around the time it happened?? Cheers
