Couple of moronic logic's that should be fixed.

Ok i will populate the list as i remember them/run to them again. I will now list a couple of things that fly into the face of all logic and would be nice to see them fixed. they have propably been listed many times, but searching with faulty logic axe knife as one search, yielded way too large a swath of results. -Cant gut animals with an axe.... Really? what is your logic behind that, please someone clarify, it is a sharp object, with more Heft and weight in it than a hunting knife but you cant use it to gut or skin animals according to the dev teams logic >_< An axe, that is sharp enough to be considered a splitting axe, and to kill a zombie in one hit.... cant gut an animal. ok... -Hunting knives, what is stopping me from carrying 2? or to use it as a weapon for that matter. -Why is it that the soda cans, give me no nutrition, despite them having lots of sugar, it should atleast give a minor energy boost, alongside with the quenching of the thirst, which brings me to our next item on the list of stupid things. -Why cant my guy survive longer than 3 hours without drinking? you guys have a realistic day and night cycle... but comeon. a person can go on for 3 days without drinking, 1 whole day if he stays active the whole time. and 5-days to week without eating food. -WATCH OUT! there is a small 15cm high elevation when going through a door while crouching, it means i must stand up... comeon, how stupid is that? -Also someone tell me how the 70-82 desibel thud from an m203 is suddenly louder than a silenced pistol (which btw is still well over 95 desibels) Or the actual explosion of the grenade itself.... Hmmm allthough... chernarus.... i gues we truly are in the magical bakwards land of soviet russia? -

i think he meant the speed they wander around, and how they are nigh motionless untill freaked out by something... it would truly be a turkey shoot with the weapons of arma 2. -

If you want to make zombies "realistic" #1. you need to stop dry humping l4d. that shit is getting old like paris hilton's sex tape. #2. through out the history there have been 2 things that zombies seem to have A,) Basic instincts B.) pack animal behaviour. so if you want more realistic zombies, they would need to behave like in 28 days. sometimes they have been depicted as sluggish creatures, but the old mythos(before the 60s, 70s and 80s slow-mo zombie celluloid film zombies) zombies were either slow and controlled by someone else, or fast and moving in packs. and since we cant have zombies controlled by some magic wabber jack in a witch doctor hut in the north west corner of chernarus, go back to the beginning of #2. #3. you sound like you dont want to play the game with its core intact, well here is a word of advise, switch games. I am guessing this is the scenario that happened in your dark lonely room before you posted this. -

Plastic Bottles making temporary suppressors.

One thing being, it doesnt work. There are 2 ways this thing can come out. 1.) the bottle breaks on first shot, not really muffling the shot at all. 2.) you need insane amounts of time, carefully carving grooves to the bottle, to fit another bottle inside and fitting alternating layers of steelwool and papermesh, and sealing them in between the 2 bottles, only for it to last 2-3 shots(and not even muffle it too much) It just wount work, even the commercial supressors for one time use(that actually decrease the sound for 15+desibels,yeah thats right, only 15!!!) for low caliber weapons, last for around 10-12 shots, and they are made of thick composite materials. i am having a hard time believing a well made plastic bottle supressor would last beyond the first shot, and would involve too much work to make it viable. -

I used to be a skyrim player like the OP, till i took a zombie to my ankle, too bad OP is still strugling with hes Arrow in the knee, and thinking replacing it with a zombie does him any better.

Standalone Poll: First Person Only?

Anything "forced" can lead to awkward/cumbersome/idiotic/bothersome situations for the players that requires the game to "determine" something the player is trying to do or someone trying to do to them. so not a huge fan of a this version either. The most simple fix of them all... Play on a FPW only server. problem solved. P.S. a Good example of what i said is the Press Space for "combat roll/dodge/Murder a prostitute/revive a team mate/activate object/Running/pick up an object/Do a barrel roll/Vault over a cover/Inhale super Glue" in mass effect 2 and 3. that is precisely "game trying to determine what a player is doing" at its worse, and i dont see an easy implementation of said detection to DayZ either. -

Yeah it is, When not subjected to A.) Shock pressure. B.) Heat C.) extreme cold. which is none of the things the mythbusters did, with the car lift, they did make a cannon out of it, but they still needed an inch of it to seal the back end, in a laminate style layering, and it still bulged unlike the ½inch steel plate that could have done the trick, not to mention, the cannon itself saw heavy wear and tear due to the material, and performed poorly. So arent you just a bit over estimating this thing, yeah you can build a boat of it, now try making it as heat and cold resistant :P Hell when we were told on how to do field attachments to our gear, duct tape was allways out of the question, simply because of the temperatures, if we absolutely had to attach a flashlight to an RK, or a bayonet with the bayonet slot broken, allways the options were steel/copper wire or Fabric tape(not sure if the name is right, the finnish word is Erkka, the blakc/white fabric tape hockey players put on their hockey sticks) or preferably both, duct tape was tried, and it failed miserably, compared to the other 2 :P

You know reading stupid shit like this, spewed by people who dont give more than ½ a second of a thought for their own comment allways puts a on my face :) Why? because i know there are still people who cant use common sense, and that justifies my field of work.basiclly, the FPW and 3rdp go hand in hand due to the limitations of the game, go play on a FPW only server if it bothers you so much. -
Combat logging fix, Absolute and Server speed degradation

Wow, i have a bad feeling about the bot, and how the potential combat log detection works...i smell a shit storm aproaching. -
not only is this a rather vague suggestion, you spammed the topic 4 times, and the example you gave us is a poor one. try attaching something as bulky as a flashlight, optic sight or even the "special" military flashlight(which still will weigh half a kilo or more) and see ohw many rounds you can get off before the addhesive starts drying off/burning/lose grip, and you need to add more of that shit and re adjust it. Here is a hint. with the finnish RK, i attempted to MacGyver a kineticly charged flashlight on it, 3 shots and it became too loose to be safe, then attempted the same thing, but attaching it to the barrel, i managed 7 shots, when we were given the order to get to our positions and drop some targets. and what do you know, the damn tape just teared off on the 8th shot, with the adhesive dry.
