Seems like there are a lot of people being really picky and negetive about the SA. As if they are expecting a perfect game... I think a lot of people need to remember this is an ALPHA not even a BETA... it has a LONG ways to go before being a complete and perfect experience and you should all read that message that pops up when you start the game warning you there is a lot of bugs and things that need to be corrected... I mean Rocket himself says do not buy the game unless you plan on fully understanding that there is going to be a lot of crap wrong with the game... in conclusion ease up you pesimists...

and blood that is the correct bloodtype. if its not the correct bloodtype you will go into shock and probably die...

Well there is bug reporting and then there is negative bashing and im seeing a lot of just straight up whining about things that are already in the works comfirmed by the DayZ team...

Thank you from the people with terrible computers.

This is great news! I havent played yet but I was worried it was going to run just as slow as the mod! now if only I could get off work and go home and play! -
maybe post a picture so we can get a better idea of what is happening?

can you start handcuffiing someone in real life without actually holding the handcuffs? if you are in a situation where you need to cuff someone you should probably have a partner aiming a gun at them to make sure they dont make a move on you...

I play on a server that has a Base building Script and allows you to craft nets and barriers and stuff, here is mine so far along with my trusty Offroad Truck :) And yes it was quite foggy at the moment lol

I would love to see this happen, Larger groups of zombies that can only be killed through headshot, but just hobble along walking dead style, the fear is going into a city and getting completly overwhelmed and needing to flee or be overrun. there are very few of these moments in the current build of DayZ and they are just so exciting! I want more of that fear of actually getting overran by walking corpses...

How do you make travel more interesting in Day Z

I tend to just Jam a pair of nail clippers above the W key and sit back and surf the web on my phone whilst gently moving my character out of the way of trees and houses etc... -
So, Ive been playing a lot of DayZ lately, and I got myself a vehicle, and when I get to going pretty fast driving through towns and stuff, I get huge FPS drops (from about 50 down to 5-8) the FPS drop is also accompanied by a graphical... weirdness... basically the textures become simplified, the models become super low poly models. And so far the only sure way ive found how to fix it in game is going to my graphics settings and changing my Anti aliasing from whatever it is to a different setting it doesn't matter which, and then it does the "receiving" message and then the game is fine. Now im not exactly sure what could be causing this but im thinking its probably connected to my graphics card somehow. here are my Specs AMD FX 8350 8 Core 4.0 Ghz Nvidia GTX 460 8 GB RAM 500 GB HD 5400 RPM (I know... I need a new one) Windows 7 32-bit all my drivers are up to date, and my CPU isnt overheating or anything while playing... So im not really sure. and ive tried running DayZ through RAMDisk and the game wouldnt get past the lobby for some reason... any advice is much appreciated...

Consolidated Weapons/Equipment suggestions

Im sure its been posted before but just a reminder... Flashlight Silencers... Obviously they would require a Flashlight and some Steelwool to build, but I think its a hell of a lot more realistic than finding an actual silencer somewhere... -
He might be using one of those Hotspot routers provided through a cell phone provider. I have relatives that use one of those to limit their kids internet usage. they work basically like a cell phone plan with a certain amount of Gigabytes allowed per month based on what you pay. I personally would go insane if i had to watch my data usage on any device... feel bad for the OP...

The textures are probably one of the easiest things to change in a game, so im sure they will be adding some dirt and grime to the character models its just not of importance to them right now.

*Patiently waits for next devblog* take your time guys :)

The only way I can see an incentive of killing zombies is to clear out an area/potential base, but at this point there is no real motivation because they will just keep respawning. which is a huge pain in the ass when you clear out an area, then 10 seconds later there is another group of zombies walking around... and I am excited for the Standalone because this will be fixed, to where you could possibly clear out an entire town if you had the will to do so and the zombies wont re spawn instantly...

You might benefit from using RAMdisk I'm using my phone to reply so I can I can't get you a link to a tutorial but just YouTube "DayZ RamDisk and the first video should be the tutorial I used. It should definetly help your frames, but your CPU might be holdin you back a bit too, DayZ is a CPU intensive game...

Im having a similarish problem with RAMDisk... Ive got everything set up with DayZ Commander to run from the Ram Drive, and I get the game started just fine and get past the lobby and everything but then I will get to the DayZ logo again and the load bar gets all the way to the end and then nothing happens for a long time... I waited 5 minutes, and so I have to Alt Tab out, and when I check the Task Manager it says Arma II is responding, so I know the game isnt frozen or anything.. Any Idea what might be causing this?

I play on low populated servers so I usually keep a rifle in my bag, I like the bizon SD, and I usually keep my hatchet in primary to take care of zombies quietly, and then preferably I like to have the 1911 as secondary if I can't find an M9 SD... But with the update adding the quiver I might Give the crossbow a shot as my primary weapon... And I've wanna see how that machete handles as well

Nice try with the crowbar picture but yea that's online for a long time...

Hello, I recently upgraded my Processor from an AMD 3.0Ghz Dual Core CPU to an AMD 4.0Ghz 8 Core Processor and also upgraded to 8 gigs of ram from 4 gigs, and I have an Nvidia GTX 460 I get great Frames on max settings and all but when im running around and zooming in and stuff I get a lot of random stuttering, not low FPS, because inbetween stuttering im getting around 40-50 frames per second... Im just wondering what could be causing this, I was thinking it might be my Hard Drive because its not a 7200 RPM drive but Ive always been taught that Harddrive speed will only help with load times not anything like stuttering... its also not just DayZ it seems to happen on all high end games... any Ideas what might be causing random stuttering? lemme know if you need any more specs or info.

Decent PC getting stuttering (not low FPS)

Thanks guys, I will be sure to try the RamDisk trick, I had heard of it before but totally forgot about it! :D PS: I dont actually play on full settings as I feel it almost hinders being able to see long distances for enemies... just wanted to see how pretty the game actually is, as i had been playing on lowest of the low settings with below 30 FPS for Months before i got my upgrades lol -
Seriously I have yet to find any video footage or screen shot footage of the Quiver in inventory or the Machete ingame... and I havent had the time to get on and try and find one myself! someone please post a picture! I need to live vicariously through you guys until I can get the time to play!
