Everytime I try looking for a server, the only ones that come up are servers with hundreds of vehicles, always-daytime, ect. I just wanna play DayZ the way it used to be. Just normal, original DayZ. What are some great servers that still do this??

So let's just say i log in about 1000m away from the NW Airfield. I run to a barracks. Will nothing be there?? I see zed all the time but nothing is in the place they're "guarding".

Ok so i know that loot despawns in your area if you join a game for a long time until you leave the area and wait. But i have been traveling cross country on my truck and have stopped at many loot filled places (a huge construction site, 3 gas stations, 3 barns, ect.). None of them had a lot of loot. The consturction site only had 1 jerry can and a couple cans. The barracks in NW airfield had cans, chemlights, and some shells. (both of the barracks!) The best thing i found at the airfield was an M16, in a hangar.....The gas stations were always empty, and the barns had cans and hatchets. I'm up north so these places have probably not been visited for a little while, so i was wondering what''s the deal. I recently started playing after a couple weeks of not playing and i used to find plenty of loot while traveling, but this is lame as shit......

Well it didnt work but im just gonna keep doing what i did before: look away from it. I'm just trying to find a good weapon, and it's just a little hard with a giant glitch in my face like "WHAT UP??" It's annoying lol. My only concerns are there being a sniper that can see, or running into a horde, blinded. Not worried about running into a survivor because they're gonna be just as blind lol

They said they fixed the whole graphical glitch thing where wire fences and bodies, ect. dont make your screen blow up with glitchy stuff. However, i just reached NW Airfield and couldn't see shit.... My whole screen was covered with the glitchy stuff.. I went to three different servers to test if it was just that server and...... they were all f***ed up! Is it just me or do other people face the same issue?

ah i wish i could go camp hunting but i have a shitty graphics card where i can only play on Low. Having graphics and visibilty on the level of a PS1 makes tent/vehicle spotting from distances VEEEERRRRY hard to see. But good luck to you as well lol ;)

I've read here that cars always despawn and that tents are "useless" now. I have just started playing again a couple days ago since last playing about 3 weeks ago. I did have 2 bikes since playing that have disappeared, and a Ural Supply truck that disappeared after getting ofline for only 2 hours (each vehicel was at a diff. time, i am not a hoarder lol). So i am guessing the problem with vehicles is true. But tents? what's up with that? What exactly is the problem?

I'm about to get back on, after being off for a couple hours. Time to find out.. I hid it very well so im not sure anyone found it in less than 2 hrs.

I spawned in Cherno and started running towards one of the red houses for supplies. Then i see someone drviing a supply truck around cherno. I was just like, "thats a good way to get blown up". (which makes sense since i heard constant explosions a moment before). I see him stop at the firestation... I mean, really????? In a server with 40 maxed people, you stop in the most popular city to check out a firestation. I snuck around the firestation unnoticed. I see the truck, parked. No one is around. No buddy, no drvier. I charge straight towards the truck and get in, power reverse, and drive north. I hear shooting and my tires go from green to yellow. I MADE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry to whoever i stole your vehicle. You should have known better not to stop in Cherno for a few supplies. It is mine now, AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D No guns in the truck, but plenty of ammo and grenades :P
