  1. I haven't posted enough on the forum to apologize. It's nice to know some will.
  2. Awesome survey. I'm glad to know the majority isn't a band of jackasses.
  3. Why were you banned, surely it was uncalled for and you didnt deserve it. *fuckingobvioussarcasm*
  4. I'd never kill someone for fun or loot. Only for safety, if I spot someone who hasn't spotted me, I run away as I want to avoid contact. If you "kill for fun" WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU, I understand for loot or out of paranoia. There are games meant for killing for sport, but those games don't appeal to you people somehow. I think its the fact they get to ruin hours of work by good hardworking people. They are exactly like a psycho killer, killing for enjoyment. I've lost my best gear from a jet crash, Chicago 84 a hacker hit and spawned loads of jets, I flew one and crashed. I've died very few times from other players and never had good gear when I have. What does irritate me beyone belief is how people continue attacking me when I'm screaming friendly into direct communication on my mic.
  5. I swore I'd never be a gambler. Thanks for making me look at myself as one now. But lets be frank, what games aren't repetitive? It only matters how appealing the repeation is. That is the most pleasing non-violent part of DayZ; finding decent or greater loot. Problem is, what do you do once you found good loot: do you prevent others from doing the same, do you help certain others do the same, do you log off and no longer play DayZ out of fear of losing the loot, or do you just go hunting for fun? My perfect loadout would be: all equipment, a rangefinder, a glock with 6 mags, a coyote pack, a SVD with 5 mags, 3 painkillers, 3 morphine, a silenced M4A1 in the pack with 6 mags, 4 bandages, 3 Sardines, 2 water bottles, 2 blood packs, and 2 epi-pens. Oh how I dream.
  6. Unconsciousness is a result of; A. A zombie striking you when you have <9000 blood (should be 8000 and it has a chance of occurring after the third hit by a zombie within 5 minutes). You're as good as dead if you dont rage quit. Happened to me with some good gear, I sprinted my ass back and grabbed my stuff luckily. B. Taking far too much damage in a short amount of time. C. Having <5000 blood (which is fair). Problem is with A. is when a zombie hits you in some fucked up way and you're doomed. But hey, it's an alpha. I really don't like how the hourglass graphic is broken in which only half of it degrades. I'm not sure if that is fixed, but I believe that is the most game-breaking bug. DC'ers, wire-blockers, and server-hoppers got nuthin' on this (obviously I'm kidding). However I have yet to use this but I have my internet to my PC by cable and the port in the wall is right behind me. If I unplug the fucker, which I may be coaxed to do if something complete bullshit is happening to me when I've got high-end gear, what penalty is set on me versus people who lose connection for real? I know you may spawn in an empty forest if you lose connection like that but it's no big deal, you could reconnect and I believe your put back to where you force dc'ed.
  7. I spawned in one of the towers in Balota once and quickly heard shots of a makarov, I warily lifted my head to spot a fresh spawn sprinting around the encampent dealing with some zeds/walkers/zombies/sensitive wall hackers. I pulled out my M1014 and ended his undead pursuers' afterlives with and was speaking on direct comms (mic) the entire time telling him I'm friendly, I mean no harm, and telling him some loot was in the tower where I spawned. (I wasnt server-hoppping btw, you choose to believe me or not). Like a minute later this ungrateful child shoots me, one round to the head with his makarov. I spawned with a newfound fury and demanded he identify himself in side chat but he hadn't done so. As a result I never trust people who don't communicate in anyway, but I don't kill anyone I see on sight if they don't pose a threat or even if they have good gear. I would kill people wearing ghillie-suits as they will pose a threat to me (still it's really stupid you can't take clothes off of corpses, I mean c'mon ever heard of necrophilia?). I've only ever killed one player in the NW Airfield, and I still fell bad about it. Before my encounter everyone who heard me in direct communication was friendly and didnt fire at me after gaining their trust. I mean for fuck's sake would you hurt one who aided you in real life?
