Hey all, I did a quick search but didn't find anything that really answers the question. I am either A. very unlucky or B. Not looking in the right places. I just wanted to see where others have found the mosin as I have only found one and that was weeks ago. So far I have been lucky in that my current character is 3 weeks old and I have run the map at least twice. So...where have you found the mosin? Go!

I did a search and didn't find anything so forgive me if I missed it. I have found two different types of 7.62 ammo in my travels thus far. At one point I had a mosin and when I tried to load it it said the ammo didn't fit. I assumed it was a bug so I left it and went on my way. However later I found more ammo and took a closer look and notice the descriptions to be different. One box specifically said "Soviet" where as the other just gives a generic description of 7.62 ammo. I am assuming one is for the mosin (soviet manufacture 7.62x54r) and the other to be for NATO (7.62x51 or .308) I had heard from someone that if you found the right magazine you you shoot the "NATO" ammo out of a M4 which would not be correct. I guess I am wondering if anyone else could confirm or deny this. I am guessing the NATO ammo is in gmae for guns like the M14 when they are added. I just wish the ammo wasn't in the game yet as I am sure I am not the first person to be confused by the different ammo types.

so far I am loving SA. For the first time in a long time I am more concerned with how much food and how close water is that how many mags I have. Outstanding!!!

Exactly my point. While I certainly can carry a axe with one hand I would never try to use it one handed.

I sort of agree with you. I don't have a problem if someone wants to dual wield knives but also I don't think someone should be able to say have a flashlight in one hand and a axe or baseball bat in the other.

So last night I was playing and found a compass. It was night so when I tried to use it I obviously couldn't see it. This got me thinking. If I were in this situation in real life I would hold the compass with one hand and the flashlight with the other so I could read the compass. So my suggestion would be to make SA so that if you had two small items you could hold both in your hands. I am no programmer so I have no idea how difficult it would be to implement. The other thought is to make a "military" compass that is readable at night.

Hello all, I admin a dayz.st server that I have made some modifications to and am looking for a group to join. The corps group of people that started with me have fizzled out and would like to join a community that doesn't have a server to call home or has one but would like to expand. I am looking for a mature player base and as an admin don't and won't abuse it. Current mods on server: Auto-refuel Tow and lift Sarge's AI Custom bandit bases. Another bump for this server. It now has custom bases with awesome loot if you can get past the AI bandits that control the area. Come check it out. Search for Extreme PVP in commander or six.

Update for this server. We now have Sarge AI installed and working. As of now it is a stock install of Sarge so it is subject to change. Debris has also been removed from roads and towns but may come back. The premise of the server is that it is Dayz in the early stages of infection. Perhaps a week after patent 0 was infected. Hello all, I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce a new server. Extreme PVP is still a work in progress. So far debug and auto refuel is working with around 150 vehicles spawned (more to come). Most are found along the coast line. I have more plans to enhance the server but while I continue to refine it I would like to find some regulars to call the place home. All players spawn with rifle, most tools, and alice pack so you can get into PVP asap. The server will also be hosting some fun event in the future as well.
