Awesome! But will the cities change layout? Or will only the old buildings be rebuilt, and the cities keep their look?

Ok, i just want to make a simple point clear to a few of the people here. (The readers, not the other posters) Now that the release is closing in, i would just like to say that the first version to be released might still be pretty buggy. It has come to my understanding that some of the people here think that the game will be released as a brand new game with new features and better gameplay, but this is not necessarily the case. The first version will be an alpha, maybe even a pre-alpha. This means that most of the features rocket has previously mentioned (like (underground) bases), will NOT be included in the game at release. These will come later. I simply say this because i am afraid that some people at release will rage because of lack of new content, and maybe even create a bad reputation for the game. The only things we can expect at release are these things: - New inventory system (guaranteed). - Major bugs from DayZ mod fixed. - Some new areas (Chernarus+) and maybe terrain(?). - Mostly similar gameplay to the mod. Please understand that what we are getting an release in an alpha version. DO NOT EXPECT MANY NEW FEATURES. DO NOT THINK IT WILL BE 100% POLISHED. It WILL be buggy.

Try DayZ, im sure you will like it, but you should get some friends to buy it also... Playing on your own can get boring after a while. I have played both warz and dayz, and I think dayz is better. The focus on pvp in warz is way too big. The main death reasons in DayZ are zombies, falling and hacking, but i only got killed once with hacking, and i played for quite a while. And ive heard hacking in DayZ isnt that big of a problem as it used to be, even though i have never looked at it as a problem. Edit: If you have alot of money, and really want to try DayZ: Buy CO. If you dont: Wait for standalone.

Rocket has earlier said that the standalone will hopefully be out later this year, but are they ready yet? Do you think they will be able to release the alpha/beta version before the end of this year? If you dont, when do you think it will be released next year? And what do you think will be and not be in the earliest alpha/beta versions? What do you think they should have more/less focus on in the stadalone? Leave your personal thoughts below.
