Rocket can set the game to a different date in the DayZ mission, but it won't affect the game beyond how the stars look and how long daylight/nighttime will last. If he sets it to Winter, it won't snow. He could script in snowflakes, but the ground wouldn't turn snowy. Surely it would be a cool thing to have, though.

DayZ has basically invented a new Zombie Genre. There is nearly no other way to find a persistent, extremely large, cooperative, and realistic zombie experience in all of Gaming. You have the power to steer this genre in any direction that you choose. Do you plan on expanding with more attention to story or more attention to features, and letting the story be made by the spontaneous gameplay as it currently does?

Hello, I'm Craig. I've been doing ArmA zombies for quite some time now, and I'm in love with DayZ. It has accomplished almost everything I wanted to see in a ArmA zombie mod. When I heard of Dayz before it was released I knew it was going to be awesome, but not this awesome. :D Thanks Rocket.

OA is required because of the numerous engine improvements included in the expansion, AFAIK DayZ wouldn't be possible without those improvements. And Operation Arrowhead made the nights look much better. (At least in my opinion)

Well, I've had ArmA 2 since 2009 and I've had OA since release day. I'd say it is worth 100$, but that is because I love the game, a lot. I've been playing zombie mods since the Undead mod was released and I played Quarantine in the ArmA 1 days. If you are getting it for only DayZ, then I would say it is worth 30$, yes. If you plan on branching out to the other aspects of ArmA play, then I think you are getting the game for a bargain price.
