This. If we are testers for their game (thats been in development for 2.5 years now?) why is their communication with us so bad, scattered, or just straight up unprofessional? If they claim we are testers but can't be bothered to coordinate updates and info while things are being developed so we can properly test them, then we are not testers just a bad excuse for a money grab disguised as testers. To be honest the lack of professionalism, deleting of threads, lack of communication etc. is starting to stink of War Z.

So because they are volunteers they don't have to behave? Can just say what they want? Why does a company have volunteers who don't have to be professional to act as their PR group? Thanks for making my point for me by the way about lack of professionalism.

Hanging out on the coast is a bad idea. If you go to the coast, you are asking for trouble.

Think this has to do with the attempt at a new item respawn mechanic. Looks like it isn't being added to the stable update for this reason.

In my opinion the fact that we have an update doesn't really excuse the lack of any real attempt to coordinate information about the experimental server or information about the development process.

The fact that I have to sift through a 100+ page thread to get updates or a dev tracker full of useless twitter feeds for any kind of information is pretty horrendous in my opinion and shows a fairly large disregard for the players.

The lack of professionalism in the forum team and admins plus a distinct lack of actual communication with their own players has really turned me off to this game. I see more from devs fighting with other players in public forums and social media then I do actual information about what is going on with the game. Regardless of what is actually going on, to me the image being presented by this company is not very good.

I don't think it's going to move fast enough to not get destroyed by competing games who do it better much faster.

Heya survivors kind of a weird question I guess. I've been trying to find some kind of information regarding patch notes or information as to what is currently different on the experimental servers but haven't had much luck so far. I've been digging through the dev tracker but there is so much unrelated information in there it's hard to find information pertaining to the experimental servers. I checked out the tumbler page and it gives kind of general updates on what is coming but nothing specific. I guess ultimately what I am asking is if there is a place I am missing (other than dev tracker twitter feed, tumbler, or this forum) that has information on what is actually on the experimental servers at the moment? It's hard to tell whats different and what should be working and isn't working to fill out bug reports. Any help would be appreciated.

I kind of figured it was something like that. I guess if it's changing often enough it would be a pretty big bother to constantly update with changes. I thought we had patch notes for previous experimental builds but if it's changing that fast I guess it can't be helped.

I've been checking the dayz sa twitter and the announcement forums for the next experimental patch and/or update and haven't seen anything since the last one (March 19th). Am I missing something or have we really had zero communication at all about what is coming next? Other than some older dev blogs talking about cooking and hunting, I haven't seen anything at all. Please let me know if I am missing the medium that is being used to give updates if it isn't one of the two already listed.

The Dev tracker was the tool I was missing in my searches for updates, thank you for that. Having said that, I am still of the opinion that a little more effort to keep the community updated on whats going on, being worked on, etc. could be put into it, even from a simple volunteer.

To be fair I've been playing at least an hour or two each day since SA release and that was the first glitcher/hacker whatever I had seen and I am not convinced it wasn't just dsync. The only thing that made me frown about it is I was sure nobody was in the building, nobody around me, run in and immediately get opened up on by an m4 from behind in the same building I just entered less than a second ago. I think I am going to start avoiding the military bases again and go back to being a hermit. Especially now that I know where to find at least some kind of firearm outside of those buildings.

Has a lot of potential once we can leave them in places and not have them poof in ten minutes. Other than that I typically try to do a diary style writing every time I log in if I have enough paper. Maybe it will make for an interesting read for the bandit that drops me (probably not since it's usually glitchers).

Typically I try not to KoS so I announce myself or try to get someones attention if I see them first. If I don't get voice coms back I shoot. Too dangerous otherwise.

On a slightly related note, are people glitching into the prisons and laying prone on the bottom floor? Had a guy pop up right behind me after I was sure nobody was around. He was half way through the floor so I thought maybe he was glitched into the floor and just chilling prone.

It can be annoying, but yeah wait five minutes and bammo back in game....also I am super jealous.

If a game is "Crappy" or not is an opinion which you are obviously entitled to have. Having said that, this alpha stage game has sold over 1.4 million copies. I would say that you are a minority and that few people agree with you out of the total players.

I would apply for that job.

Even on high population servers if you are dying a lot, stop going to Electro, Berezino, NEAF. Rest of the map is largely ignored.
