Cause being able to loot your own corpse is realistic. It's a game, many gameplay issues are going to break your immersion of realism.

Yeah....lost me on this. People SHOULD be trying to do hold ups rather than just shoot you. Even if they are bad at it, gotta practice somehow :P

Anyone who doesn't see the issue with why people want first person only options on servers or hive is either not paying attention or trolling for a reaction. This solution is perfect as it allows the people who want first person to play with other people who only want to use first person. If the servers for this die out then there were not enough people to begin with.

You guys need to do some research. The warnings that say hungry and thirsty are at the bottom of the barrell. You need to keep eating till it says full, then you regenerate blood and health pretty fast. Eat everything you find till you get the stuffed status. Once all has been regenerated you get a Healthy tag.

If it's a full 12 hour nighttime, you don't survive the night. Nobody plays for 12 hours straight.....OR DO THEY?!

Did you not read the multiple warnings about game breaking bugs that will effect your gameplay? Guess not. Personally looking forward to starting over myself but I haven't logged in yet. We shall see!

Personally I hope to never see flying vehicles. The map seems pretty big until you get in a chopper. Then it's trivialized again.

I reeeally like the tip toe kind of glance thing for just a bit higher height. That is an extremely fascinating idea.

I've run into 9 people so far, first two tried to axe me a question. Rest were all friendly. Last two joined me on an adventure through the new stuff in the north.

After tangling with a few zombies I've gone kind of a grey scale where I've lost some color. I keep myself hydrated and well fed but it seems to stay this way. Will this slowly recover over time or do I need to talk someone into giving me a saline bag or something else? Also when I take some damage from said zombie dancing my character likes to complain and groan. This seems to go on for the rest of the game session and I can't seem to get him to stop unless I relog. Painkillers and morphine don't do the trip and neither do vitamins (although I haven't figured out a use for vitamins yet). Anyone able to shed some light on either issue?

Fantastic information I'll check out those videos pronto. I thought I was doing what I was supposed to by just making sure the "thirsty" "hungry" messages didn't pop up but I need to eat/drink more it seems. I'll pop over to the ts if I continue to have issues. If anything would love to know how to properly use the saline bags and other medical supplies.

Genius! Why didn't I think of that?! Bleh most of the people I have run into don't know either. I'll keep messing with it then.

Hopped on my usual server last night and almost immediately run into two gents looting the same building as me. After calling out to each other and mutual pant wetting at the surprise of finding another player (hadn't seen anyone for a while) he turns out to be friendly as well as his friend he was running to meet. We trade loots (he got some food, I got a piece of map) we meet up with his friend and go a looting another place as a small team then part ways. Next encounter is at an airfield. I am already in the jail house and I hear him declaring himself in proximity on approach which I respond too. Another friendly who helps me loot the area, find myself a rifle (first one I had found after much searching) and we trade ammo of the types we each need. Then go on our merry way after steam invites went out to each other. This brings my total interactions up to five different people total in my SA lives. First two were on day one and tried to bash my head in, last three all friendly and helpful. I'm liking that ratio. TLDR - There are still friendly people around if you take the risk of communicating first instead of shooting and/or running. Edit - Of course without bandits, these friendly meetings would not have the impact they do so keep up the good work to all those involved in the Dayz world.

Server hopping for loot is boring as crap and only for people who want this game to be deathmatch only. The quest for loots while trying to stay alive is really the only content this game has for me at the moment so I stick to one server whenever possible.

An alpha that it's head developer told people NOT to buy has already sold over a million copies. I think some would say it has already succeeded.

I don't think the OP brought this discussion here in order to change Dev minds and totally blow up Dayz SA development. I don't know enough about the technical side to add much to this conversation but I'll give it a try. Comparing the current engine to games like Just cause isn't a fair comparison isn't it? I thought those engines typically generate the things around you, not the whole map so even in multiplayer the majority of the map isn't using up resources. I could be horrible horrible wrong about that though.

If you are sick the lack of content, go play another game until there is more? Why continue to stay here and moan on the forums with unreasonable expectations when you were warned repeatedly not to buy the alpha unless you were into testing?

I would defend pve servers if they were on seperate hives...but I gotta say watching these videos is hilariously funny.

For the sake of testing, that's a good thing that people are eager to play the latest version. Having said that most people are probably not dong it for testing and are just impatient to play the latest version of the game, regardless of the gameplay state.

I don't understand posts like this. It has to be a troll it really has to. You click "Understand" on a big red message everytime you play this game stating you understand it's an alpha with bugs that will mess up your gameplay. You are either trolling or an idiot of epic proportions.
