This is a prime example of how you can not please everyone. So many people on these forums asking and begging and demanding for more zombies. We start seeing sign of more zombies and other people cry about how they don't want more zombies because the ones we have are buggy. Baby steps people baby steps! All servers are test servers since we are all testers.

It can surely be implemented it would just take quite a bit of time, money, and resources to pull off. Probably isn't too high on the priorities and for good reason. Really I just want to have to fight my environment as much as I fight players and zambies. Namalsk was pretty close to the mark with the weather elements and having to actually react accordingly. Would love to see that here even with rain. Cold out because we are in russia maybe in fall/winter, starts raining so you have to seek shelter and dry yourself off or get sick etc etc etc. Would love to see it in the future but im not in a hurry.

Did you make your account just to complain? Seems that way. Bug report what you find, then avoid it until reports of bug fixed. If standing still after climbing a ladder causes you to fall back, then don't stand still after you climb the ladder?

...Did nobody read the warnings when they bought this game? Or the short little paragraph you click on that you have to click "I understand" before playing? Updates are going to cause problems, there are going to be character whipes intentionally and un-intentionally. This is something you should get used to and if you played the mod already used to as there was lots of glitch/bug dying.

Whatever you see now is intended as a temporary fix in all probability and is better than nothing while a new system is designed. An in game countdown doesn't work as it has been tried on previous mods. People can just alt + f4 or end process via task manager. -
I have a hardcore favorited for solo play and one favorited for regular play with friends. I try very hard to stick to those two servers regardless of population or server in game time. I only move around if those servers are down.

Game development typically lasts multiple years. Sure they have been on it for a few years already but I wouldn't be surprised if the alpha/beta go on for a long time. I don't really care since it's already available and I am enjoying the hell out of it, especially with the fast updates keeping it fresh. -
Or it could have been someone who doesn't speak english? Doesn't trust other people? Or isn't interested in being friendly? Maybe his sound was borked? Or he had his sound off? Your first assumption is not always (usually wrong) in most scenarios.

I found in the mod that vehicles kind of ruined the map for me. Bicycles and most cars/trucks didn't so much but air vehicles certainly did. Made the map feel so much smaller but I guess it will do that eventually once I am familiar with all the new stuff. Personally I want to see hunting, weather elements that are actually dangerous (namalsk would be my favorite map if it was larger) and base building/fortified houses. -

This oh my god this. I had heard the zombie sounds, the opening soda cans, then I hear someone munching away and I freak the hell out. -
Do I take the random misc stuff to try to rub them together to craft stuff? Or more food water? Or more ammo I probably won't use before dying?!

To those who dislike the new combat logging timer

This has been tried before. Doesn't work. Alt + F4 or end process via task manager bypasses this. The current system is the best one I have seen so far to combat ghosting/server hopping/combat logging. -

Yes both intentionally and un-intentionally. But the guys I run with usually team kill each other occasionally for hilarity. Not nearly as much in dayz though. -
POLL Should The Timeout Timer be Increased, Untouched, Reduced or Removed?

Alt + F4 and/or task manager end process will bypass your idea. It's been tried on mods already and doesn't work. People will always try to server hop even with fixed loot because loot is still going to be rare. Loot hoppers are only hopping in military spawns typically anyway.
