You are clearly the chosen one. Seriously though, this belongs in the bugs section.

Double barrel shotgun seems a little...lame?
Budiak replied to Xianyu's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Growing pains. I see it as a move to have a few more options In starting weaponry. Its got some problems but search to see if there is a thread is the suggestion forum regarding this issue and make your case in the form of a suggestion. If you make a good case and people back it it may very well be implemented. -
I used to have the same problem. Turns out mine was due to a twitch in my thumb that would hit my touchpad. Others have said that it can be electronic interference with a wireless mouse and also alt+tabbing will sometimes cause it, I hear.

RAPE - adding an other psychological element
Budiak replied to nudelwalker's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Its a logical step seeing as how much support the sexual tension meter has gotten. People suggest shooting zombie children, shooting zombie women, friendly zombie towns, and masturbation. The alpha stars as a bug report, and now we are discussing whether or not you can Get a proper boner with only 3k blood. -

Thanks for considering the ramifications of your own suggestion and taking them seriously. You raised a point that hasn't been thought of yet- some towns just won't have as many. That is quite possible, because it represents the 'horde' idea. Wow. That actually makes a lot of sense. Zombies are like people. In society we follow the money, the Infected follow the food! Zombies should of course be dangerous, but the idea that even a town with three buildings in it is just as dangerous as Elektro is absurd. There's no reason for there to be 130 zombies pouring out of a town with three buildings and a barn. While right now you are correct, you can stay out of towns and live off of other players, it is not necessary at all. I frequently go into towns, purposely avoiding other players. With the above scenario you described, with some towns being only partially populated with Infected, it would be a balance between robbing/killing survivors and looting towns instead of only one or the other. The way I read your original post, I would only be able to survive by either killing survivors or by mounting platoon-sized raids on every town I saw. Neither sound like a lighthearted and relaxing evening, really. What you proposed in response to me seems more reasonable. -
Wishes DO come true!!

I've had this problem since day one and nobody ever believes me. I think it's the same thing you've got- the text appears and disappears while the game is still loading the video. Obnoxious.
-
You're right, it must be because of Fallout's total obscurity that nobody is jumping on board with your idea.

OP, have you read any of the forum at all? Seriously, I am asking this because I want to know how you could possibly have not seen this issue. Perhaps the others werent being clear.

This would, in effect, turn me into a KOS bandit overnight. If the zombies are too tough to go into town, then every single person I see is getting shot for sweet, sweet beans. FYI, I go out of my way to avoid people right now. Your idea would instantly change the way I play to exactly what you seek to cure. -
For reasons that should be self evident, you shouldn't be able to aim down iron sights with night vision either. It's just as impossible as looking through a scope. With that in mind, they should leave it the way it is.

Congratulations, you're the newest loot pile. Respawn.

Going inland to survive and excel takes effort and planning. That's why more experienced players and those who know the map better tend to go there. There is no distinction except for the distinction in our heads. The coast is more dangerous because people choose to play there. Large cities are always more dangerous. Large cities have more resources and are usually by bodies of water. The cities on the coast are only more dangerous because we are humans acting like humans.

They are infected human beings, the maker of the game has stated this and refers to them in changelogs as Infected. He stated in interviews that he finds 28 Days Later types more frightening. They're called Zombies in game...I don't know why. I think it should be changed. It's not tomato tomato. Undead and Infected are quite different. One is supernatural, one is scientific. I personally find the undead more frightening because you're dealing with things out of our control. But that is what I think people find more frightening about disease-related zombie horror- the fact that it is based on real-world possibility and that we may in fact cause it.
