hi there i have recently had the same problem and the solution that worked for me was to install dayz manually, the following site has the steps in which to do so if you have trouble doing this http://kodabar.blogspot.co.nz/2012/05/how-to-install-dayz-with-arma-2-free.html And just use the addons folder from your arma 2 folder instead of the arma2free stated in the site above and also here is a link to dayz 1.7.4.4 because you still cant get manual update through dayzmod.com yet for some reason ftp://dayzcommander:dayzcommander@94.242.227.3/../DayZ-1.7.4.4.rar
