Really?I've seen plenty of threads with people saying they have i-7's and 690's getting terrible frames. I think its dependent on a lot of things.Just bear in mind that DayZ is a mod of a pretty buggy and oftentimes laggy game.Hopefully all will be fixed when the SA os released though,which is hopefully in the next 2 weeks.

Definatly not.You need a quad core cpu for anything above 20 fps. Also you could spend £1000 on a pc and still not get 30 fps in cities.

Not really mate,Its just DayZ isnt very optimized.Everyone has these problems.Search the forums and you will find a thread or two about getting a few extra fps with some minor tweaks.

Have you tried disabling vsync?Probably not the problem,but in other games this causes problems for me. Edit:Beaten to the punch :) Maybe try playing with Nvidia control panel? -

Ludonarrative dissonance is when your actions in game are the opposite or go against the games storyline or characters personality. To put it in DayZ terms: Guy A:You friendly? Guy B:Yeah totally! Guy B then shoots Guy A in the face. Ok so it doesnt really work with DayZ,but you get the point. -

Its probably happening cos this is Dayz.i think 95% of people have some kind of fps problem. Not too much you can do,except for a few minore tweaks,like the config file edit,and lowering your graphics settings. -

Some good ideas here.Id like to see something a bit different,Maybe a jungle/Rainforest?You could have some intersting features such as swamp/marsh areas.Maybe even find an ancient incan temple!Also zombie monkeys. -
