Hello all, Since we all know Dayz is pretty much a ffa atm and the humanity system isn't really working, I came up with an idea that might help towards more coop play and less kill on sight. One of the key points though, is some sort of group system. I dont mean a group system with icons and what not but a way for the game to know players are friendly towards eachother. The idea So the basic idea of a fear system, every player starts with a basic fear level ( like they did with humanity ) wich in influenced by the world itself aswell as the player and his/her actions. just a few things that would increase a players fear level could be; the amount of zeds in x radius of the player, high pop area's, nearby enemy players, zed aggro, killing a player aswell as nearby friendly infected players. while nearby friendly players, low pop area's or woods could return fear levels to normal over time. Increased fear levels result in shaking, loud breathing and maybe increased hunger or thirst. The amount of zed killed, players killed and time alive could influence how much of an effect these things have on their fear level.( keep in mind its all just a basic idea that would need lots of work). So basicly, 10 zeds are more dangerous to 1 player than they are against 4 players, so 4 players would have little fear of them where 1 player rather avoids them. So what would this do? It would let people that group up undertake dangerous missions such as raiding an airfield with less risk than a solo player. Ofcourse a solo player is still able to do what ever he wants, but he is gonna need to be alot more carefull and stealthy. Also it should prevent solo players from camping big cities with a sniper just to shoot all the fresh spawns as there aim would be pretty shaky and would be easy to spot. I would like to know what you guys think of such a fear system, pro's aswell as cons ofc. Any other suggestions to it are always welcome!

Well here are some idea's for the swamp, not sure if they are all possible though! - Swamp gas, maybe a random event where it rises up from the water at certain area's. ( not uncommen in real swamps ) - partially submerged vehicles which maybe can be towed out to be repaired or can cantain loot. - not if this one is possible, musquito's that could bite/sting a person with a chance of infection or diseas ( swamps are breeding grounds for these things ) - more fogged area's. The shallow waters have a higher chance to produce fog than lets say a grass land. - slower movement. Swamps are unpredictable and often have holes or softspots so running through them should be a bit harder. - Floods, after a heavy rainstorm parts of a swamp can easely flood and therefor destroy tents/stash you have been hiding there. As much as I like realism in Dayz, its still a game. I convinced a few friends to start playing but they quit after running around going nowhere for 20 minutes. But since realism is a big issue for lots of people here, there should be ways to make some sort of party system without being to unrealistic. Im not sure about you guys but I dont live that far from my friends, we live in the same city or town nearby. So maybe it would be a nice thing to start as a "group" and be able to spawn max 2500 meters away from eachother. Party chat is not needed since most people that play together will use teamspeak or skype anyway. If you get the option to sort of customise your character than no partymember icons are needed either. As far as I noticed its the Huge space between people that bothers new players the most. I really hope somthing like this will be in the SA!

I think the music is a bit to distracting, people will turn it down just to make sure they hear someone walk or fire a rifle. I really do like the idea of more ambient music but it needs to more of a background thing if you ask me.

Zombies can cause you to get sick. Also if your temp drops below 35c you have an increased chance to get sick, you dont get sick right away. Also, if your temp drop below 30 you will start losing blood and the icon will start to blink. Heatpacks will restore your temp to 42c in one go but cant cure sickness. Keep in mind that walking near/in water or diving a boat will make your temp drop pretty fast!

I just went there and i can comfirm the dying sounds at the boathouse. the zombies instantly respawn there aswell. I tryed to head to the house further inland but in magicaly teleported me back to the boathouse when i was 30m from it.
