Why not just add weapon hitboxes? You get shot in the head, you take more damage than getting shot in the leg.. It's not "Reworking an entire system" as much as it is adding to an existing one. How do you expect them to add vehicles to the game if they can't choose what items can and can't be damaged? "Shooting out tires would need an entire overhaul, or else it would just damage the car itself!".

Not trying to undermine your post, but with the responses of the community it's less "You knocked out a wall, get out" than it is having random people off the street walk into your house, stab you in the gut and having your land lord say "Don't like it? Move out - Oh, and I'm keeping the deposit". It's always seemed to me that the reason that private hives became such a common thing in the mod, is because the rules were (And still are) very flawed.

A lot of people here love to go kill the PvE types, then go onto having their servers removed. It's sad really.. You're best off editing the KoS rule like the other rp server did. Wait until private hives are added before trying to enforce your own rules - Otherwise some kids going to whine that he's not allowed to kill everything in sight and have them remove it. Edit: In fact, you may be better off trying to just get a refund within the next few hours/days before it gets enough attention that they just remove it without giving you your money back.

The "Rules" also state that you can't kick/ban hackers - But you can ban a player for saying "fgt" because it's a racial/homophobic slur. As I said before, very solid set of rules.

Maybe BI should host their own servers then instead of taking a crap on the poor sob who buys a $90 server to host their game. And to be fair, what about the locked experimental/dev servers? Aren't those breaking server rules aswell?

There are plenty of videos that support this. There are even videos of players being teleported 50-100 meters above cherno and just falling after the hacker teleports another player where they're standing - Causing them to be pushed from player collision and fall to their death.

I'd say that my post was a bit more understandable than the one I quoted from you but if you truly don't understand I'll elaborate. I don't plan to give the first person I meet my teamspeak information just so they can hop in and leech locations of other members. I would however, give them a radio and a frequency to reach me - Thus keeping my guys from getting followed from the same type of kid who "Stream Snipes".

I don't believe that DayZ should be doing background scans for programs such as teamspeak. You even see the Devs use whatever third party chat program in their videos.

Don't listen to all the people getting overly butt-hurt that you asked about pvp. If you're wanting to play for a more PVE style, wait until private servers are a thing - Buy it now if you want to save money but you may be waiting a year or so if not more. But to answer your question, yes. It's a grief-fest. It's a game/community where people grief - And then comes here to complain when something bad happens to them. Edit: Examples? Look at the gallery. You'll find maybe two in ten that aren't people complaining about "Server Hoppers" while they're either looking through walls or something else much worse. Edit: Edit: Or most recently; "I sat around sniping fresh spawns all day on a no-pvp server, then got banned from said server. Who do I contact to have their server removed?"

Road flares - to be found within car wrecks similar to maps. Flare gun - To be found around shipwrecks(?) Watch - Keep track of time. I wish they'd focus less on weapons and more on ambient items. I'd rather see flares and other lighting illuminating the night sky than muzzle flash.

But it's DayzGAME.com...Not DayZSim.com. It's a game at the end of the day no matter what you call it. Unless it's "Hold W Simulator" it's not really simulating anything seeing as none of the effects carry over. If you play "Take on Helicopters" for a week, you aren't going to know how to fly a helicopter.. And for a more on topic segment; they need to add more physical appearance options. In real life there aren't only three types of men and women in the world wearing different clothes.

Perhaps BI should be running dedicated servers themselves as opposed to renting them out to people then? Less servers means more players gather in the remaining ones.
