And none of them are run by the development team with an iron fist. "You don't like it, leave!" - I'm sure that's already happened since there are ALOT of private hives - And I'd guess it's because of responses like that.

Fact is, admins - Sure they can abuse - But guess what, that's not the problem. Admins kick/ban "Abuse", because players are script/exploit abusing. And an abusive admin - Oh no this guys never going to get reported! Take a look in the ban appeals and cheating threads, 50/52 of those are reports like "I don't know if it was the admin..But..___", if they're reporting people thinking it "MIGHT" be an admin, they're sure as fuck going to report a REAL admin abuse.

People would rather have your server black listed for handling exploiters than deal with the exploiters themselves. It's only a matter of time before - Like rocket said since everyone just LOVES quoting the guy. "I'd rather the game be the death of itself.." (Loose quote).

And I can't wait to see all these players getting global banned for exploting and the threads that will follow titled something like; "I got banned by an abusive admin" or "I got banned, I dunno why".

So you can ban someone for malicious talk, but not malicious acts? So basically the admins green-lighted every single player to Alt-F4 by saying "Nah, we won't ban you for it. We just trust you won't abuse it".

The rule system is horrendous. When they add rules the day something goes wrong, and wait weeks to reply on issues such as ghosting. "I'll rent you this car, but you have to pick up any hitch hiker you see" "I picked up a hitch hiker who stabbed me in the gut, so I kicked him out of my car!" "You can't do that, I'm taking your car back."

Sorry, I don't even own ARMA 2 - So no, I'm not one of them. But you don't need to be "One of them" to know what it takes to test a bug, trust me.

So in other words, you're paying to run a server just so you can be a confidential informant? Doesn't it seem like they should be paying YOU for that service? I mean I doubt people become CIs for the government "Just to help out".. (No I don't imply that BI should be paying people, but they shouldn't be taking 3000+ peoples 30-60 bucks a month and having their freebies chewing out their admin team without asmuch as a sigh at what's going on).

Then that server would be more worthy of a blacklisting than any single server I've seen brought up in the ban appeals/cheat reporting thread, which is just currently used for "Dumbass, the devs say there are no rules so you can't touch me!"-esque posts.

Not really similar at all, I don't see how you got that arguement. A more suitable analogy would have been "My Debtors aren't paying me, so I won't let them syphon off my money anylonger.".

Sorry, yes it is a bug. Meaning it is something you can do, but was not intended to. Private servers would be better off than open servers, and anyone who blames "But, but they just loot their own server and join others!" Yes, because people would love to spend 40-60 bucks a month to play on ANOTHER persons server. Seems like they could have fixed this bug since July 02, the dev team "Have had way enough time to figure it out, and fix it." But no, they didn't, and they decided to leave it be and instead let threads like this happen. It cuts both ways, but it seems like only 1/1000 (If even) of this forums members understand that.

3000+ Servers, banned from one "OH no black list em!" And anyone caught ghosting/Alt-F4ing are not following the rules the admins of the DayZ server have set, and agreed to by connecting to said server.

I'd keep politics out of this, not only is it stupid to go "Oh I'm this party, and you're that party so we don't like eachother". But it's also a very good way to get this thread locked/deleted and brought out of view from anyone.

Threads about rules that are made up as soon as something happens they don't like (IE: The Battle eye addition, that is still the only rule that is missing a space between it's dash and word - Seriously, it goes -Battleye..Added the same day that a server didn't use it). So mods can quick write a rule after a person hosts a server, same day post might I add - While this thread has gotten one post from Griff(?) since it started basically being a shrug "I dunno, it's wrong but not right kicking them". So basically, run a server how they don't want and get an instant "No". Run a server filled with hackers/Alt-F4ers, they'll get back to you later when they update and just say they're still working on it.. Who's really power hungry? The people trying to protect their servers from hackers, or the people telling them "No, you follow our rules or you aren't allowed to play and we'll deal with that hacker shit when the time comes"?

I bet if he passworded his server to test this bug, 50 of you dumbasses would hop on "BLACKLIST THIS SERVER" bandwagons. Not knowing that the point of an "Alpha test", is to "Test" and fix bugs/issues.

Yes, the admins are totally in the wrong for protecting their investments.. "This airport security is so power hungry, let's not let them pull anyone from their planes!" ..As half the airports population is carrying a bomb strapped to their chest. On a unrelated note, I'm selling server databases for any banks out there, First national, Credit Union - I don't care, catch is. You pay for it, and I get more access to your database than you do. Hmm..Am I the only one who sees the flaw in logic there? I think the "experiment" that rocket is pulling might just be to see how much people will pay extra for something and have no say in it. If rockets a "Business man", he understands the concepts of stocks and shareholdings - These "Admins", are your Shareholders. I don't think I implied that anywhere? I believe I was talking more about GAME-CODE than caring about how a gun from the 1800s works.. I was saying how I'd imagine it working better with the same code as a bolt action, Minus the scope. The bolt pull timing/animation to compensate for cocking the lever. Zombies can't read, are also brain dead and will eat anything they THINK is food. Humans on the other hand, can(?), feel emotion, stress and any other factor- Here's a question, why don't they have something very similiar to when you need painkillers for when you're under extreme stress (Getting shot at/returning fire at a accelerated rate), shaky screen..Less accurate, all that fun shit to add more variables into surviving a firefight.
