^ This. The GPU, VRMs and VRAM in a 7770 (and any other recent graphics card) will run at 90 degrees Celsius without any ill effects.

It's your CPU. And you'll need a new motherboard too as Socket 1156 was a developmental dead-end. -
No reason why the wound/medical system from ACE can't be incorporated into the SA.

ArmA likes to stream textures from your HDD, so yours could have a small cache which could be hurting you. As you have 16GB of RAM, you could set up a RAMDisk and run the game from that. Unfortunately, the ArmA game engine doesn't like laptops, i7 CPUs and mobile GPUs. -

30 round PMAGs please, no mag couplers. I'd run a Ready Mag system, but mag couplers are simply a very effective way to get crap into the 2nd mag.

See that every time I switch on any of the ATOC options. The lowest AA setting does improve clarity at distance on my PC - AMD R9 290. -
Thanks for the video and nice to see targets being led correctly. Extra thanks for reminding me why I don't go anyway near the cities in this game.

Running Dayz on Mac through BootCamp

If you use Bootcamp Assistant, it will offer you the option of downloading all the hardware drivers you need to a USB stick. Install Windows first and then run the driver package from USB. Remember to install the 64 bit version of Win 7 if you want to use more than 3.5GB of RAM. -
Game will need 3 types when they add the AK-47/AKM/RPK family of weapons and the SKS. 7.62 x 54R, 7.62 x 51 NATO and 7.62 x 39 Soviet.

A zeroed AK-47 or SKS will put a bullet in a man-sized target at 300 metres if you aim for centre of mass unless the barrel is utterly trashed. Just as it was designed to.

That'll be the 7670M (mobile) GPU then. I'll give out my standard laptop response : If you don't have a high-end laptop built for gaming, running DayZ isn't going to be a fun experience.

Let's no go overboard and make pouches (sewn-in or modular) too specific. Rifle magazine pouches should hold any 30 round rifle magazine or 30 rounds of loose or stripper-clipped rifle ammo. Pistol magazine pouches should hold any pistol mag or 15 rounds of loose or half-moon clipped pistol ammo. Canteen pouch should hold any canteen or 2 drinks cans/bottles. General purpose pouch around 5-6 slots for everything else or 1 x 100 belt of machine gun ammo. -
Clothesline makes a lot of sense. Here's some of mine: - Rope + Camo Net to hide vehicles, camps etc. - Rope + Poncho to make a basha (rain/wind shelter). - Rope + Backpack to allow you to strap larger items to the outside of the pack.

Whilst there is no doubt that the RV engine has limitations, it's the engine that BIS know intimately and likely to give us the best version of the SA right now and in the near to medium future. -
Find a nicely wooded vantage point at least 500m away from any road or building where I can have a good look around without being seen when I log back in later.
