Same here. I put this down to my tried and tested DayZ Spawn Survival Technique of not stopping to investigate the first coastal settlement I see and running into the nearest woodland. I won't usually stop to plot until I find a small hamlet off the beaten track.

This would be why I can never find any ammo, but find loads of worn gun parts. I suspect this is also why there are so many groups of 4-5 of fully geared players running rampage across the SA.

Of course, the Devs could off-load CPU tasks to the server by running a headless client, but then you're looking at servers having to be way more powerful.

In every other game, you'd be correct. Running an RV engine game, unless your CPU can reach 4GHz or better; it will be the limiting factor if you have a decent GPU.

Yes, but your CPU won't allow you to get the best out of the new 270x. Get a i5 3570K, a good cooler and overclock the hell out of it.

Subsonic 5.56mm NATO rounds would have similar ballistics to .22 LR. Effective against squirrels, not so good against humans.

This is a suppressed M4. Suppressor drops 30-40 dBA from normal firing signature and makes it much harder to estimate the shooter's firing position. Ideal for use inside buildings and vehicles.

M4 in your hands and Mosin on your back, or visa versa?

M4 in hands around buildings or anywhere that another player may appear at close range. Mosin for out in the countryside and there's a high chance you will detect other players first when they are some distance away from you. -

Can you CPU be overclocked? Faster CPU = More FPS.

Like the other thread full of specs and performance, we can draw the same conclusion: Given a half decent GPU, your graphics performance in RV engined games depends on brute CPU power. 4 cores at 4GHz or better to hold 30 FPS in cities.

If you want to be able to catch with your mates within 60 seconds of dying and have all your gear back, may I suggest that BF4 might be more to your liking?
