Hmmmmm....... Maybe us guys down here in New Zealand should take one for the team, and let somewhere else go first for once..... I mean.... we already get, christmas, new years, first pick of second-hand Japanese cars, and every new release on steam before anyone else B)

Whats all this about ladders?? In the 7ish months ive been playing DayZ I have... Died by Infected ( or zombie if you swing that way ) Died by every kind of Bandit... Died of starvation and/or thirst... Died by Hacks :rolleyes: And many, many other things..... But i have never been injured at all by a ladder..... Am i just extremely lucky :huh:

Too be honest..... At this point in time, i would actually be happy just being able to hand over my money... That way i KNOW that when the standalone is released, i already own it, and dont have to piss around working it into my budget..... I have no issues waiting 2-3 months or longer for a game i've already paid for... I usually order a few months in advance for games on steam anyway :rolleyes:

I agree with alot of the suggestions here.... However, for Number One (the issue of electronic devices) perhaps a variant of something like this could be added as loot... http://erindoeslife.tumblr.com/post/20848923122/kinetic-energy-device-charges-your-electronic-devices Quite possibly a little more suitable than batteries as loot, or even as an additional item... instead of solar charging ( since the sun isnt out at night ). Assuming figuring out a suitable formula for "distance walked = amount charged" didnt prove too difficult...

Absolutely YES!!!!! I agree completely..... Somebody is bound to disagree though.... will be interesting what their reasoning will be :rolleyes:

Also.... i would HIGHLY recommend playing the arma 2 tutorials before launch yourself into DayZ... It is rather difficult learning everything from scratch while trying to avoid zombies AND bandits :rolleyes: just a recommendation tho :thumbsup:

Really? you'll go easy on me?? Pffft..... If you actually read my post, i did say that i do not agree with the idea.... However, regardless of how "annoying" you find those "whining and complaining" threads, or ideas and suggestions in relation to them, doesn't mean that those other people shouldn't be able to have their say, whatever it may be... This is a PUBLIC arena, and if you don't like what someone is saying, provided it doesn't break any rules or regulations, tough... don't read it... The fact of the matter is, The OP's suggestion was well thought out, well worded, and would be a suitable solution either alone (or in conjunction with other solutions) should the DEVELOPERS decide to go that way.... And if you would kindly link to the part of this forums rules, that state that i am NOT allowed to express my distaste at the way another forum member has been treated... Cause i haven't seen it :wacko:

Wow... loving the mood in here guys.... I disagree with the idea, purely because it does penalise certain people for their (perfectly legit) playstyle.... however, I do find the general reaction to the OP's SUGGESTION, and some of the comments rather disgusting... This is in the "suggestions" section as a suggestion after all....

I agree that a basic "shove" ability is a good idea.... But as for Martial Arts?? I will not now, nor shall i ever agree to adding that to a game such as this... You want Tekken.... Well a few of my mates one day decided to start calling me "Shade" after realizing that irl, I have never been scared in the dark, and was always the one still with a smile on my face, even when everyone else needed a change of undies :rolleyes: And then a few years later, they added the "Dr".... because apparently im an incredibly deep and meaningful, philisophical kind of guy.... And ever since, i have been known to them, and almost every online community that im part of as "Dr-Shade" :ph34r:

Sounds really good actually.... I'm down with that... Though it probably wont have the desired effect on the snipers out there... The ones that kill for the sake of killing... Also, if the screams and moans attracted Zombies... both for realism, and as an extra deterrent for pointless killing.
