TECHNICALLY "exploit" is actually the correct word.... cheating and hacking it is not however.... I do actually wonder WHY threads like these are even allowed... it just pure nonsensical garbage, around and around in circles, because everybody thinks that their OPINION is the only thing that matters.... If Rocket & co thought the same as you, they never would have put third person in in the first place.... Control it on at the server level... Separate Hives ( if your that bloody sooky about it ) and be done with it.... I agree in part, with this suggestion.... However.... It would be nice to have a few things fixed prior to implementation of a system like this IE: Zombies currently no-clipping through everything.....

If your on the coast, then check out the sign on the train station.... I dont personally have this issue ( or rather haven't yet ) but i guess thats just too long playing the mod.....

I dont feel that AT THIS POINT bleeding is OP.... Lets be honest here.... How many of you have been infected yet?? And how many of you are like me, and search entire towns to find nothing but shoes and jeans?? I think that, until the Loot table has been "improved" to allow loot to spawn only where it is intended, and with enough frequency that i can stop dying of thirst before finding a drink, that the bleeding is fine, it compensates for the lack of "infection" and the lack of "infection" compensates for the lack antibiotics in most areas..... in short.... Leave the Bleeding as-is until the medical / loot / illness system has been improved and/or implemented....

I never said they would not, merely that it would not be cheap... But you stated that your Father currently holds all the licences.... So where does this "We" come from.... I would know, one of my close friends is a licencing officer for the Waikato region, and at one point was helping me get my own E Category licence, which i did not get in the end, due to a lack of home security ( Renting ) despite having actual military training in weapons handling and safety.... On-Topic however..... The AS50 in particular, despite being OP, I feel was substantially "un-authentic" in the DayZ environment... HOWEVER... There would have been suitable replacement weapons, had anybody been willing to put the time into creating the models and re-skinning a weapon.... Im calling Bullshit on this one.... In order to obtain an AS50 on NZ soil, you MUST hold a CURRENT "E" Category firearms Licence.... which is a about a 6 month process, requiring a minimum of 4 referee's ( two of which must already hold "E" Cat licences ) aswell as have incredibly strong home security, and above all else you must prove it is necessary for you to own one, hunting and pest control do not count..... On top of the fact you would need a importers licence to bring one in yourself, or have an importer do it on your behalf.... and that wont be cheap... But i see you live in Coatsville.... So i guess the money wouldnt be an issue right ;)

Fair point on that... The one thing communication-wise, that everybody seems to forget when it comes to post-apocalyptic times, is Satellite Phones... The Satellites are already up there, complete with access-permissions pre-loaded ( the service providers system merely uploads "updates" to those permissions as needed, so if you found an active one, there would be no service provider to tell the Satellite to ignore you ) and require for the most part, little to no maintenance... Although you would over time lose Satellites to faults/ Space debris/ rubbish and inevitably old-age, the system in itself should be good for quite awhile.... And Given that most Satellite phones are sold with/ are compatible with Car chargers, and we have cars/ vehicles... That solves the issue of charging the Terrestrial end of it... Also, as far as the Games ( mod and standalone ) go, if we can find working GPS systems, then Sat Phones are just as plausible, considering a GPS requires 3 Satellites to bounce signals off, not just the one ( for short-med distance ) calls on a Sat Phone....

I would love it if spending long periods of time "prone" had a physical effect on your character.... I dont know about the rest of you, but if i spent 2 hours on my stomache under a tree while lookin down some gun sights... Well id be one seriously stiff jointed and slow moving person.... Perhaps even some vertigo effects would be good... Prone for too long + standing and running too quickly = dizziness and loss of balance...

Some of it wont make much of a difference, other parts will make a sizable difference..... and those different parts are very system-dependent. But overall, alot of what is in there should help out ;)

Yea, as a rough idea i do like it... But i also disagree with the "happy meter" part... However, perhaps implementing a way to measure depression and having symptoms of that, which could be fixed by certain activities or items?

Sorry Statik, but i disagree with with you here.... I can tell you now, Apocolypse or no, god help anyone or anything within 1 click of my person, should i start suffering nicotine withdrawls.... I do like the idea as a concept, but it would definatly take some work to implement...

If your running Windows 7, then in your "sound Devices" settings, you can actually select your "default" sound devices for specific programmes... So if you have a secondary or "Virtual" device installed windows will recognize it as a separate device.... All you need to do is set your Headset as Default for Arma2 ( or whatever game you happen to be playing ) and set the Default device for your music programme, as the one that drives your speakers ( or Visa-versa) Does this help? B)
