I want to set up a private server for myself and a couple friends, but I have a few questions... 1) Can I run the server and my client at the same time? 2) Will I/ Can I have admin powers on my own server (spawn guns, food, etc.)? 3) How will my friends connect? 4) How will I set up the server? Sorry about the long story, but I feel I can't address the problem without the long and detailed situation. So I was enjoying myself some Dayz and I get killed (can't complain, hardcore game for a reason). When I spawn, I walk a few steps and I'm shot in the head (okay, camper, next spawn will be different) . When I spawn again, take a few steps, instant death from random shot in head. This happens several times over and over again in several spawn locations. In frustration, I ask in side chat somewhere along the lines: "could you hackers let me live or at least give me a gun to protect myself?". 30 seconds later some guy responds "okay". Next spawn I don't have anything (not the usual backpack, bandage, etc). I take a few steps and some assault rifle with a silencer appears in my hands with a silenced pistol. I check my gear and I have 5 clips of ammo for each. Happy, I start adventuring, but I get a Battle Eye global ban error and I get kicked to main menu. So I try entering another dayz server through Arma (not Six) and I get the same global ban error. Thinking the hackers on the previous server were trolling me, I close Arma OA and try to open again but every time I open OA I get this 'Bad serial given in setup' error. Arma II is fine, but OA has the problem. Specs: Windows 7 64 bit AMD processor and graphics card I have had several viruses from the past, one from a unprotected dayz server. Can anyone help? Thanks
