    I'm sorry...

(This happened yesterday on the EU4 server, around midday GMT+1) I was supposed to meet a friend near Balota, and I had just arrived there from Mogilevka. I was wary of going, because I've had nothing but bad experiences there, but it was the easiest way to find him since he didn't have a map. As I approached through the forest from North-East, I saw the outline of the hangars through the trees, and was immediatly tempted. I shouldn't have gone there. Nothing good ever comes out of Balota, but my buddy wasn't in the area yet, and the temptation kept rising. I used too much time deciding what to keep and what to leave. If I had just made a quick run in an out of the control tower, nothing would have happened. Instead I sat there messing with my backpack, when two survivors neared the base of the tower. They hadn't seen me. I should have written something in the chat. "Two guys at Balota airstrip, friendly?". But I didn't, fearing they would make it up the stairs while I was writing. So I crawled into a corner not knowing what to do. One guy comes up and only notices me after several seconds. I point my gun away from him, trying to convey I'm friendly. He points his Makarov away from me too. I think. Fuck. They have Makarovs, and I'm lying there with an ALICE pack full of wonderful loot and scrumptious beans, armed with a Winchester and M1911 pistol. Plus, they'll think I've already looted the airstrip. I would have just rushed down the stairs and into the forest, but I was unsure of his partners position and firepower. Instead, the guy dropped like a ragdoll onto the cold floor of the control tower. The smoke had barely cleared from the barrel of my winchester before I was down the stairs, running my ass off into the woods. I'm sorry. I don't remember your name, only the heartbreaking "..." from you in the chat. I don't know what else I could've done, but I'm sorry. If it's any comfort, I now have the skin of a bandit.
