    Go to your Mydocuments\Arma 2 folder. In there you will find a folder called: ArmA2OA.cfg Open it with notepad. Now, near the bottom there is a line: ATOC=7; Change the 7 to a 0 (zero). Start the game, see how it looks. If it doesnt work then post here your in game settings and your computer specs.

    Yep I agree with that mate but until Direct chat is fixed people need to make do with what we have. Especially for group play. Will not save your arse though if you come across some random player in game and you cant type to him fast enough!

    First point is annoying, granted but use TS3 / Vent until it is fixed. Second point is really, really meh. This isn't some MMO where you get buffs and shite like that and never will be.

    I am running 1.6.0.1 and every server I have joined that says 1.6.0.1 in its description is (shock!) running 1.6.0.1... Go figure!

    Go into your steam folder where Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead is, steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead Once in that folder find the file called: _runA2CO.cmd Right click and send to desktop. Double click icon on desktop, Voila!!

    Ok, in your library, right click on Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead and select properties. In there along the top select the Local Files Tab. Then press "Verify integrity of game cache". That might help.

    Ok, in your Arma 2 OA folder in steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead folder do you have a folder called @dayZ? If so, open it and inside there you should have a folder called "Addons". Within this folder all the DayZ files will be there, or should be. You should see 14 files in total. If everything is correct, go to your Library in Steam, RIGHT CLICK on Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead and then click properties (at the bottom). Now, you need to click "Set launch options" and put the following into the box that pops up: -nosplash -mod=@Dayz Then launch the game making sure you choose the option: Launch Arma 2: Combined Operations. Now you should be good to go.

    As choc has said, you need to find a map in game the same as you would find Coke Cans / ammo etc in game. And importantly you need to make sure you pick it up! Once it is in your inventory press "m" and the map will appear.

    Follow the guide by Bayers mate. And do not EVER alter any folders that you find in the steam directory unless you 100% know why and what you are doing it for. Hope things get sorted mate, if not post back here and describe exactly what you are doing. Screenshots would help as well.
