well since the us mirror disappeared, i tried that 6 updater thing, and i updated and now i get kicked from every server immediately. anyone know what it fucked up? -yes i have latest beta, i WAS installing everything myself, the way i prefer to do things, and i had 0 issues. but the other mirrors are slow to download from and slow to have the updates available, so i thought id try the updater. i hate it. edit-nevermind. as i was typing this so were some other people. i guess its not just me. whew!

i think it would make more sense to start with a morphine rather then painkillers. a broken leg with no gun is certain death. i can deal with the pain, but the leg just wont function without the bone.

But you see, therein lies the problem with the thread. Do you want rocket spending his time answering questions about minutae, or actually making the update? This is something that you can test in game... but frankly, it also smacks a bit of 'Dur, I am smarter than the dev team. Did they think of THIS??' So yes, it's related to the update, but still kind of... not worth much. agreed. but it is on topic. people like us are not the reason this thread is so long, its because of all the people making suggestions or kissing rockets ass saying "i cant wait for this!" or "thank you so much!" thats a bunch of crap too. he knows how we feel about it, he can see how many people play the game. and continue to play the game after each update. none of that belongs here. it belongs on some other thread. this one should be readable, but its not. and its because of crap like Max Planck and Nyz and linkinxp and Grease. not attacking you guys, just saying none of this has to do with 1.7.1. my point is valid. asking when it will be released is not. it will be announced. talking about darkness is not either. what in the hell does all this crap have to do with a patch? why dont you guys have your private discussions on skype so you can actually show it to each other and stay on topic here. there is no reason to have 79 freaken pages of this crap. this is supposed to be a discussion about a specific update: 1.7.1 not what you guys want in the next one. there is a different thread for suggestions. really makes reading most of this forum about a game unreadable and a waste of time. good thing im not a forum mod.

exactly. too many losing connections then lost sessions for something like that. i guess the thought process is here what better way to make everyone else quite playing the game then ill be the only one left! no getting pked for me!

no, you dont get it. its not punishment for me. when i disconnect, i am hiding safely. if you get the drop on me, i face death like a man. i dont vanish into thin air. its only a punishment for the cowards. for those that do server hop to get a strategic advantage then come back to my server. think about it a bit harder. its not a nerf. how could this possibly make the game easier?

no way dude. the ones that suck at this game are the ones that disappear as soon as they realize they are getting shot at. the good players can handle themselves. i agree 5 seconds doesnt really solve it, its not long enough. a real firefight doesnt happen close quarters-thats (should be) hand to hand. 5 seconds is still sufficient time to lay down behind a rock and log out. by the time i realize whats going on and get there, 5 seconds is long gone. its obviously not punishment for those that log out properly. it is of course punishment for those that disappear on sight. if you have a problem with this, you are clearly a player that dos.
