    ... worried about standalone :(

I just wanna post my opinion on diseases. I honestly think it's one of the best features. I play on Namalsk lately, and I gotta admit, the way it implements the temperature system is very good. On Namalsk I have learned that weapons aren't the most important thing in DayZ. I was all geared up, m4 CCO SD(12 extra clips), G17 etc. but I was shaking cold, coughing and couldn't find any food. My blood indicator went red and I took my last chance to write on the side chat and ask for help. And a guy responded, he had antibiotics and a helicopter. I told him my position, marked the spot with a green smoke grenade, 5 minutes later he landed. I layed down all my weapons to show my respect, and he gave me cure. My first friendly experience after playing DayZ since early Juli :). The point I'm making is: when people have to rely on each other, in order to survive, then this game can be more than about bandit killing and avoiding people.

    Once you get the standalone

The first day is gonna be awesome! Everything will be new and fresh again. Remember the first time playing DayZ, for me atleast it was very creepy. My hopes are that standalone will be like a completely new experience. And I will roam around Chernarus and explore it again...without any loot maps!

    Controller Support in Standalone

I like to play most games with the Xbox controller. But it doesn't really work for Arma, you can adjust the settings, the game wasn't designed for this though. And besides, when you play console games online, it's allright cause everyone has to aim with the analog stick, so why would you like to have a huge disadvantage to the other players in DayZ?

    Build 1.7.4.4 Rolling Update

    * [REMOVED] BAF_L85A2_RIS_CWS From Loot table. I looted an L85 of off a bandit the other day, the first time I found one. Still have it in my backpack, will it be gone when I patch? Haven't fired it yet, but i thought the scope kind of sucks. He was sitting on a rooftop in Cherno(it was night time) and killed unarmed players. I snuck up behind him with my CCO SD.

    Gore. Gore. WE NEED GORE!

It would be awesome if you stumble upon a dead body of a player, who has been eaten by zombies and the guts are hanging out with a pool of blood. That would add to the horror aspect. I like the melee system in Dead Island, to cut limbs off with an axe would be a great addition to DayZ. Of course only on zombies, I'm not so sure about the player characters. If you would shoot someones arm off with a 12 gauge(not sure if that's even possible) he should immediately die. That means, if you give someone the death shot, it should destroy something. Most important gore in a zombie game is on the zombies. IMO
