A simple solution to identifying bandits post 1.5.9.

Kills per hour (K/H) would be a better way to measure it but i still don't think it is needed, half the fun is not knowing the guy helping you out is a bandit or a survivor. In real life i am a well built (read sort of fat), bald guy who rides a motorcycle does that make me a bikie, or a fat, bald guy who went through a early mid life crisis? It's the latter... Most serial killers do not look like crazy people/obviously murderers they look like a normal person, why because that's the best way to avoid capture and the best way to capture your prey, why would it be any different in a post apocalyptic world? Another thing to consider is a hunter out in the woods would look suspiciously like a bandit, are you going to shoot him on site? Could be why so many get shot out in the woods to many people playing dayz. What am i trying to say is someones appearance does not tell you what there are like it only tells you what they want you to think they are like and that is not going to change in a post apocalyptic world. You want realism let the player choose what they look like, maybe different cloths could be available in game, I think if a warm jacket that slowed the speed you went cold was available even if it was a knitted Christmas jumper everyone would have one on.

New spawn/respawn mechanic + New starting kit mechanic.

I find it interesting that there is a 50/50 split both ways of people liking and disliking the 2 different ideas. I don't like the first idea, parachuting in doesn't feel right but on the other hand it would explain why you have a military vest/webbing on. I really like your second idea, reminds me of Dwarf Fortress, do you want to embark now or prepare for the journey more carefully. Ahhhh why did i bring 5 cats...

    Ammo pack / bandolier

The 12 slots in your inventory is the loadbearing/vest you are carying alredy.(Just be happy they dident use the medic as a templet fore the survivors they have 8slot inventory :P) This is a good point. You already have one, so no need to add it.

ZOMBIE AI - The Definitive Suggestion

Hoppers moving like apes is a good idea the hopping is just strange, it could be a limitation of the engine.

Things you have learned from playing DayZ

Cardio? the old Alt + F4 trick... It will close your active window/application.
  8. How? Ill try to explain why this is not true. As it stands now Guy 1 logs on once every 4 days when he logs in he eats 1x food and 1x water to bring himself up to 100%. Guy 2 logs on once every day, in the same 4 day period he will need to eat 4x food and 4x water to keep himself at 100% hunger and thirst. Result = 3x food and water advantage to guy who logs on every 4 days (and the advantage increases every day he does not log in). The way you propose to have it Guy 1 logs in after 4 days and continues with his adventure. Guy 2 logs in once every day for 4 days and continues with his adventure. Result = Guy who logs on once every 4 days has lost his advantage. Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion and interpretations of the games mechanics and will see advantage/disadvantage where they want to see said advantage/disadvantage. My personal opinion is that as it is a persistent world it is logical that you will be hungry and thirsty when you log back in. I also like to think that the character climbs into the trees or into a closet when you log off that sort of explains why the zombies and bandits did not get you.
