What I find amusing is I log in kinda hoping my character got wiped because I'd like to start over with colour vision, no kit and search for the all the new stuff... unfortunately each time I log in (which is weekly, not daily) my character is still there in the same place, semi-saturated vision. Irony.

Another un-informed player. Number 1 - Zombies at the moment are placeholders with only some of the new zombie features activated. Number 2 - Mass Zombies and zombie hordes are something already being worked on and cannot be implemented until they properly optimize the game and servers to handle not only more players, more loot but a mass of zombies. Number 3 - Right now with the zombies the way they are and the ease of gearing up within 20-30 minutes of spawning means killing on site is the only thing to do. Do not forget this is a discounted Alpha, you will encounter bugs, the game is only 20% finished. Now, by all means feel free to voice your opinion or feeling and present your constructive feedback to help shape the game... but please do not criticize the development team on a game that is only 20% finished, that you bought at a discounted price and every time you launch acknowledge that it is unfinished and missing content. -
Best way to allow the ability to carry multiple primary weapons.

So? ... If I was a survivor and found weapons I'd want my leg holster so I have my sidearm, I'd want to carry my rifle but at the same time this other weapon could come in handy. Right now we can carry two weapons, but it is a bit tricky as you have to drop one to get access to the other... and dropping can take some time to show up again... if you drop inside a building there is a chance that weapon might vanish completely. This is a good idea and I support it. -

Auto-run = death Imagine on 100 man servers everyone auto-running, your more inclined to pay less attention... then suddenly you an axe to the back of the head or you run right into a horde of zombies! mwhahahhahaha! Just use a coin and stop complaining. -

If you complain about having over-crowded towns now with bambi fist fights and sniper dens etc... don't forget that one day the game will be optimized and we will have a crap loads more zombies and zombie hordes, guns will attract zombies and putting yourself in a building with no other way out should be a death trap. You will find cities being a lot less attractive and we will find more countryside encounters. For example I ran to a barn once in the middle of no where, ran right into another player, back off then a lee enfield shot rang out across the valley and the other player died. I evaded two shots before I was in the trees running for me life. I have yet to have that with DayZ SA, simply because I only ever come across players in towns or bases... never randomly in the countryside... granted it was a barn but it was a single barn, by itself. -

It has been said again, I will say it again. There will be staff dedicated to optimizations and finding out how well the ArmA engine can handle what they want to implement. So the rest of the team who don't specialize in that area won't be sitting around twiddling their thumbs will be coming up with all sorts of creations and getting on with material things and recipes and bug fixes such as adding in new clothing, weapons etc... The more stuff they add is good, and the big zombie horde and optimization features will arrive, when they are ready. -
As above... trying not to sound like a "dick" but... dude... you are playing DayZ and are scared to loose your items? ... you are playing an Alpha build and are scared to loose your items?.... Lesson number 1 of DayZ and Alpha testing: DONT GET ATTACHED TO YOUR GEAR... Log in, if you have been rolled back or you die, find another one.

It should be like this You are slapped with a 60 second timer each time: - A bullet or attack lands within X meters of you - You fire a bullet or execute an attack action During this 60 seconds of (in combat) and you "log out" or "force close" the game then your character is left, standing there until the timer runs out and you disappear. -

Either like Skyline-GTR just said, running out into the "open" or to a downed teammate to either help or loot is a very bad idea as a good sniper or anyone with a brain will use said body as bait. Alternatively they were glitched into a wall/building and you cannot see them, but they can lean out and shoot you. The jailhouse building at either end of the NEAF are such buildings that I quite often find someone using this glitch to their advantage. -

There a ways out of those rooms, one method that has worked for me is to run and vault constantly until you push/lag spike your way out of it. The other is (if there is a window) to constantly try there. These are bugs and will occur in alpha, they are on the bug tracker. The server-hopper and combat ghosting prevention timers are a feature and should remain in the game. Note: Re-logging to get out of a wall glitch does not work, not often unless there is a server roll-back to a previous point or character re-set. You have to push your way out and hope it lag spikes you into the open, the same it lag spiked you in. -
I've seen loads: 1) Looting tents, zombies either side of my tent failed to aggro a player (they were my early warning system) and a guy ran right past them and shot me. 2) Guy glitched into wall of jail-cell building. 3) Shot a guy who fired his entire pistol mag at me and missed from 50m away. 4) Held up and robbed a guy in the trees near the tents. 5) Was shot in the SW barracks by a guy with an M4 due to lag... I had already put a Mosin round into him at close range, but it did not register in time allowing him to get a burst off with the M4 and kill me before he KO'ed. 6) Found 5 dead bodies scattered around the hangers, fire station and watchtower. 7) Was forced to back out once when I was on the west side after looting SW barracks and spied a group of 4 or 5 heavily armed players around the watchtower and fire station. To me there has always been something going on up there.

The weapons should be more accurate than they are now and the Mosin bug of firing to the left over 300 (while it can be compensated for) should be fixed. Rate of fire of Revolver could be reduced slightly. All guns should be much, much louder and heard from far away and also attract zombies.

I hope we can develop into a game where we can trade items with other players for items we need. Say when base building is in I could set myself up in a shop in Cherno or Elektro and people can come to my door asking if I have something, to which I can say, "sure, what do you have to trade" etc.. That way we don't just have to search for items, we can trade for them. Of course there is a certain risk involved with "trading" so we can pay (using items, ammo, food etc..) people to protect our shops and persons during these transactions... which then leads to a certain level of trust and the need for people to gain reputations as reliable, trustworthy etc.. All sorts could come of this sort of thinking, player driven trade and jobs. -

The idea of finding a bunker somewhere (Similar to the underground bunker in Namalsk) would be fun, but the ICBM idea is definitely a no no! -
Worked for me, I had an Mosin the other day and raided the NWAF at night, came across an M4 but no ammo so I dropped the Mosin, but the M4 on my back and took the Mosin back into my hands. I eventually found plenty of ammo for it so swapped out for the M4, dropping the mosin in the woods and keeping the little ammo I had for it for my buddies.

This was the big thing in the mod, I could hear gunshots from quite some distance away, especially if it was a DMR or Lee Enfield as they had very distinctive sounds. So far unless I am within meters of someone shooting I don't actually hear the gunshot, just the sound of the bullet hitting something near by me, and I have my effects volume to max. I testing with a friend and asked him to fire various weapons from one end of a town and I was on the other... (he was shooting zombies) and I didn't hear a thing! Anyway... back on topic... The game lacks features and zombies are just placeholders right now so the only thing to do is loot, kill, die, spawn, loot, kill, die etc.. When vehicles are added it will add an extra exploration value and more combat over them, sure but once zombies get added properly with increased numbers they will become a threat. Also if they increase the volume of weapons then firing a weapon can attract players and zombies from all over. If you keep being KoS then change your approach to things, avoid players or hold them up or even just out-right kill them if you deem them a threat.

So you were a lone on a server farming loot... were you shot or just died? If you just died it could have been an invisible zombie or you could have been killed by a glitch. I was killed by a ladder once. I have yet to meet any hackers or be killed by invisible people, and to top it off I play on populated servers.
