Welcome to Dayz. A hefty % of the playerbase are complete bastards and will just shoot you on sight. If in doubt just shoot first or head the other direction. If you want to be the guy that doesn't shoot on sight prepare to get shot more often than not but sometimes have a great time with a fellow survivor who wants to play the same way you seem to.
Is this the first time that you're using the beta patch? A lot of people who were on 1.7.1 didn't use it and might have skipped 1.7.2-4 due to some major issues. If so maybe check that your Dayz shortcut is pointing to use the beta .exe?
Sounds like you haven't updated something right. I was having this issue yesterday until I realised I'd dropped the 1.7.5 dayz files into the wrong folder. Duh. Quick checks: 1. Definitely got the latest version of the beta patch i.e. the patch listed in the big green banner at the top of the beta patch page? 2. Copied the 1.7.5 files into the right dayz folder? Can you see a really faint error message when you pan your view around? Looks like the error message that says you're running the wrong version of code is bugged in this release and is almost invisible. If you can see this the files haven't been copied in right. Delete them and copy them into the folder again. 3. Joining servers that are definitely updated to 1.7.5? Think there's a few servers out there that say they are but aren't done correctly yet.
I've been to ranges and shot a L/E where a bunch of guys were also firing them and a mix of K98s and Rubins. They are loud. The game tones them down a lot really. Without ear protection your ears would be ringing. The noise of a L/E mad minute back in the trenches in WWI must have been something else.
I bet a decent chunk of them are people not happy with their respawn point (i.e. Kamenka probably) and respawning a pile of times to try and get something a bit closer to Elektro / Cherno. If the devs were to make it that your respawn point after death always stayed the same for 1 or 2 hours this might encourage players to just stay with their original spawn and not keep killing themselves. After 1-2 hours and you die then you get a new random spawn location.
Yep another really "hard-working" team. Poor little guys having to menu click all those times to glitch dupe their gear. Bless their little hearts. What heros.
Would be bad if that actually was the way things worked. But it doesn't. You get banned for scripts / hacks being found on your computer. As has been pointed out many, many time now.
YES but with qualifications: 1. Make it a player initiated task - middle-mouse and select study person when they're in your LOS. This would help stopping players getting insta-scanned as it should require an element of study. Also this would remove the effect happening all the time when you're in a group which would be irritating. Should also lower the incidence of hiding players getting tagged by accident where the computer picks you up but the player doesn't see you. 2. Short range - humans need to be pretty close to pick up on the visual cues that give us that on-edge feeling. 3. Blood transfusions shouldn't help raise humanity or we'll just end up with bandit groups shooting each other in the foot and transfusing themselves back to normal humanity. Only not murdering for a while raises humanity. 4. Applies only to your character's life - clean slate once you're killed and start over.
