i don't like this idea. Its much more tense to have to search all weekend while fainting from having too little blood, for knife, matches, wood, and hunt an animal, cook it and eat it (As i have had to do recently); or to risk having another player give you a blood pack. Regeneration like that would make the game easier, and less tense.

I think notes, maps, recordings with information, a bit of a story, and an objective could make the game more immersive. But tbh, you kind of make your own objectives in DayZ and thats the nice thing about it. Like, im going to the main airfield to see whats there, and maybe loot the barracks (or die trying). Then maybe team up with a mate, and fix a car or something. Like life, there are no goals decided by anyone else, you decide what the point of your life is! And in DayZ, life is nasty brutish and short.

Id like to see some mechanism for PC's turning into zombies. Its a bit odd that there isn't. (I was surprised not to find a thread on this on the forum, I did search for one, so sorry if i didnt find it and its been discussed to death already!) Perhaps if killed by zombies there is a chance your corpse turns. Or possibly everyone is infected, as its an airborne virus, and so when you die, you have a chance to turn, depending on type of death, say, head wound you don't get up, but other wounds there is a chance. Possibly varying time scale for turning, to make looting someones body a tense moment. Could be 5 seconds, could be 5 mins, might be never. Not totally sure what to do with peoples equipment when you become a zombie, perhaps it all gets dropped? or your zombie just carrys it about until it de-spawns.

Characters with different physical conditions

If its random, people will just respawn until they get the body they want. I don't think it will work. -
yes, i agree there should be female PC's and NPC's. Its sexist not to, and women are 51% of the population!
