I believe its more interesting for people with native English as its easier to communicate. Theres this barrier for people whos english is not their first language, they're mostly shy speaking english or barely know it. I think this type of people might shoot on sight more often. Thats why I mostly avoid people to lower the risk of loosing my character.

There are some servers where the rain basically never ends, it only stops for a couple of seconds here and there. I don't have a strong pc so the rain is eating all my fps and cause of it I have massive fps spikes. Being lagg free every 15 sec for just a bit it's unplayable for me. So my question would be, is it possible to somehow, through options, visually turn it off or if anyone know some active servers with more likable weather :)

So my only options are servers with nice weather, anyone know a couple of those that are active as well. I have no problem staying alive on shitty weather, its just unplayable for me, fps wise.

I never played dayZ mod and all the variety of said mod "mods". I remember seeing one with extreme loots on each corner (weapons mostly) and trader cities, I assume they aimed towards the PvP community. I honestly liked that alternative from an original mod, I loved that option which brought zero consequences in case you died (you could gear up in no time and get straight into action). DayZ SA for me feels more like PvE and RP game as it is, I do like both of the mentioned options/styles. My question would be will dayZ SA ever be open to mods as I would like to enjoy PvP more. I know this game came from a mod and is now a standalone version so perhaps this is just silly what I'm asking/looking for. I played the competitive CoD's and BF since they came out but honestly I enjoy DayZ PvP more as it came from a game which is basically a war simulator, suits my taste more. I'll still continue playing this game just for the sole purpose of PvP-ing even though it takes some time to gear up and find some proper action. PvP is part of the game, some people like it some don't. Don't hate for what I've asked please, like i said I really like this game I would just like to see some alternatives like the mods I've seen in Dayz mod on youtube.

I'm aware of Arma 3, looks great but my PC can only handle dayZ SA for now, need to invest some money first incase I go for Arma 3 And thanks for the answers of course :)

Of course you can't cause he's taking that picture ^-^ But yeah, camo actually work especially up close. I had 2 guys passed on less then 5-10 meters twice without noticing me. People will always focus looking in the distance then at the ground.

Your problem is that you're way to friendly, try avoiding players is your best bet in surviving. Don't run like a headless chicken through a town, I would also say avoid bigger towns as they are clusterfuck fulll of KoS players. Man up, heads up and keep trying. Killing other players is part of the survival as well, some ways of doing it are quite disgusting but you can't change that.

I'm as well cry when I see how crappy it looks when I'm playing with everything on either lowest or disabled setting. But as I've seen in one thread some things can actually be changed to a higher setting without suffering any fps loss. My advice is to get fraps or something to see fps in-game and tweek it yourself. They should make it that only if you zoom it opens full but otherwise you can see a map you're holding in your hands close up from 1st person.

About gearing fast, I agree. I managed to get fully geared from the fresh in just one night and even found 2 long range scopes on the way. Just missing the bandana, green one to tie it over my face. I just don't know where to search for them.

Always like to read stuff like this. As I'm still mostly new in this 3 weeks of playing I as well had an awesome fight. As I started to roleplay a lone wolf sniper guy running along the outskirts of Airstrip and Krasnostav (place I decided to operate) I've noticed two fully geared players getting out of the ATC and going towards Krasnostav. I had a feeling in my guts that they were trouble. As I was curious I decided to follow them for a bit to see if they were bandits. I've kept moving carefully through the forest and bushes in the outskirts of Krasnostav, finally got some guts to come closer with some ninja skills. They were running around the town and some barn south of the town. They managed to run by me on less then 5 meters twice without noticing me, thank god for the grass and a nice green camouflage gear I'm going for. They entered middle of the town from the south side near the food store. And again I slowly moved towards them, being careful and went for the Ashwood tree which is by far my favorite tree for hiding. I stand there and proceed to looking at them and thinking of my next moves, next thing you know they notice two semi-geared guys and that bandit duo KOS-ed them on sight. I felt sorry for them but that's how it is in dayz life. I was still inside the Ashwood tree standing and leaning, I aimed down the site and went for the kill. I managed to get them both while they were running around and trying to loot the guys outside the food store. And as I always do after shots been fired, I went straight towards the woods to avoid any bad situation which I wouldn't be able to control from the start. It all took about 20-30 minutes, I really enjoyed it and it felt like I'm inside a movie. This character lived for almost 2 weeks and died while I was logging off in a bad spot ^-^. I managed to kill around 15-20 players, mostly bandits I guess. Tried as much as to avoid killing new players/spawns, had to kill one crazy axe guy, his fault for going for me. I like the role I took and thankfully this game allows me to be whatever I want to be :)

Check that tower in Novodmitrovsk and the junk yard with cars, however it's called. You can find it north of the tower and make sure to check the garages there and the blue cart, all that in a small area. I usually get 1-3 boxes of ammo for it and that junk yard with cars is a lovely spot to get your hands on 1911 engraved mags, my favorite pistol :)

Definitely, I like the look of the mod zombies as well. I would like that one day they implement like a horde of zombies migrating around the map slowly just like you can see in some episodes of The Walking Dead in case you ever watched that.

You should ask them, they are actually really nice. Once I asked this Jimmy fella zombie where do I go to reach the Airstrip and he kindly pointed the way and explained how to reach the destination in couple of words and he also gave me a pristine kiwi, truly a nice guy! But OT ^-^ Considering the movies/tv shows from 90's on I believe they are more infected (virus) then being a resurrected from the dead by the way they run fast. While the usual ressurected zombies where slow as hell, just like in The walking dead tv show.

Does the wipe comes on every new patch, if so would they announce the day of patch implementation (character reset day) ? This kind of information would be nice to know cause a sudden reset would make me sad. I want to go down in blaze of glory and see how much I can last going full nuts before the wipe :)

I still haven't tried the upcoming patch, am kinda scared of the hypo/hyper-termia thing to be honest but I guess I will probably get a hang of it quite soon. The only thing I've noticed from seeing some thread about it that they should tone it down a little as it seems that hyper/hypo-termia progress is quite rapid if you understand what I mean to say. Anyhow can hear some thoughts from more experienced players who actually tested the new patch, and perhaps some other new things I'm not aware.

So my character has 1911 engraved, a mag and bunch of bullets on a side. After I was forced to use my gun on a crazy axe guy I went into a bush to fill my mag again, but the mag wasn't in my gun nor inventory anymore. So most likely it disappeared due to some bug as this game is still in alpha, understandable. But then if theres a chance I did something wrong please do enlighten me, I would like to prevent this type of situation as this is the only mag I've found in over a week on same character, so yeah for me it seems kinda rare.

Must be desync, happens to me as well. Just make sure to run around the zombie and hit him from behind, you got time cause they're actually really slow on turning, wsad zombos :) More annoying thing is just silly random aggroing and after killing them spawning again which sometimes feels like an endless loop...

After week and a half of playing dayZ without seeing long range scope I managed to find it as a fresh spawn with only that short sword in my hands. Next thing you know that "crawler" type of zombie aggro and of course with the desync impossible to hit the head or even the zombie, it's like trying to hit the fly. I still don't get it why they are fixing/implementing minor stuff instead of zombies which is kinda annoying and important.

Don't take me for granted but I believe I saw a guide where it said that you need to shoot once the bow is on the far left swing side for maximum accuracy.
