HAAHAHAHA, yah might be in a 1st person server dude. Whata hater! First time I saw it. I bet less than 30 % of DayZ players fuck about in DayZ program folders to have know/seen this. First time I saw it was on his video. Yah he is young, so what? I am a 26 year old NCO in the military. I must have been born yesterday. -
LMAO this coming from the guy who said one hit knockouts were unrealistic???! Are you serious kid? I wager you've never been in a fight, trained in MMA, shot a weapon or seen a man shot! While yes, weapons are "serious shit" the caliber, and more importantly location of the damage determines whether it is a "one shot kill". You lose the internet. Get some life experience and than tell me what reality/authenticity is.

WOW, how could this feature possibly be bannable in any country using the RV engine?? You guys realize that if cannibalism was added to DayZ it would be on option in the action menu, your character would bend over in the most pathetically basic animation ever, do nothing special over a player body and then you'd have 3 meat steaks that look the same as cow meat steaks, and the body would just disappear right? What do you guys think this is? CryEngine? GTA? Or any other game company that cares about their games enough to add detail? Bohemia doesn't do polish, so I doubt cannibalism would be gruesome or gory enough for it to be banned.

I dont think BI or rocket gives two shits what we want to be honest. Not after reading his comments on the Sound Thread in reddit where he pretty much said fuck off, if you care about sound in the SA you arent going to enjoy the SA. The lazyness of this company will continue on from ARMA 2 and 3 and you guys are kidding yourselves if you think there is any chance of beard texture that grow over time. That is too much polish for a BI game.

I really cant stand how unimportant sound or for that matter, any kind of what would be considered, polish for most games, is to Rocket and BI. They have time and time again made excuses and downplayed the importance of sound. Especially in a Survival-Horror game. I hate that he says anyone who cares about sound is going to be dissapointed with the entire project. he is pretty much saying, sound is not a priority. For gods sake man, every time I run into a bush it makes sound so clearly it cant be THAT HUGE A DEAL to implement that towards trashcans, fences and the like. Sounds like a bunch of excuses to continue on with their make great game play but fuck the polish approach. (animations, world interactions, sound, graphics) I hate this lazy approach. This is there chance and if they fuck it up, the millions of people who drop money on BI for DayZ will be gone forever, cuz I would not be buying DayZ 2 or ARMA 4. -

I thought the majority of the community wanted beards that you would grow over time as a symbol of your time of survival, not chosen at the beginning. Pictures look awesome though.

I hope they plan to implement some sort of "logout only" animation so that people KNOW that someone is attempting to log out. I am not a bandit or kidnapper but I can appreciate the play style and if they have someone who is about to log out on them they should know about it. Say, when you log out your character goes into a sleep animation for 30 seconds before disappearing. That way they can be shot for meta gaming.

AGREED 100%. These things are meant to protect people from insane impact forces. It should be almost 0% knock outs even if we had dudes like Brock Lesner punching you. Hard plastic vs human small bones = Broken hand at full punch power. Anyone who said otherwise does not understand biology or physics. Now, that being said the % of knockouts should/could go up slowly/incrementally based on the blunt melee weapon but not by much. I feel like bats may have a chance at extreame speeds on the right part of the head. Pipe wrenches are heavier but smaller so don't have the same amount of force created by a large swing. An axe would probably crack the shit out of a motorcycle helmet on the first or second blow but only kill someone on the third if it fell right into the crack so accuracy would have to be a factor there. Shouldent be hard to implement any of these necessary tweaks, but as for the OPs "suggestion"......... -____- Really dude? -

What in gods name would possess someone to spend 30 dollars to hack at a game?? It doesn't even have leader boards? Why would you buy a game like this to cheat in it? What is the fun/drive to this? I just don't understand this. -
Thank god you aren't developing this game then. Also you are a KoSer as I have seen in various other posts so OF COURSE you don't like item degradation. You don't want to be punished for spraying. I cant wait till shit doesn't work after being ruined.

ALPHA had daily updates as well, but tomroadrunners point is valid. DayZ is a different kind of game. The server architecture makes fixing things more.....volatile. -

How is that max settings? You have HDR low, post processing and AO turned off..... -___- Unless everything is on as high as it can go and 100% resolution you aint max settings bruh.... AO adds a lil sumtin sumtin to the grass.

This general section is a medley of complaints, gripes, bug submitting, off topic rants, newbie questions and the like. It would be great to see a thread dedicated for suggestion of game mechanics and features. Sound, animations, textures, things to do ect. The problem is after a while even the hottest of threads get lost to the masses and the devs can only check so many threads and posts. It would be nice if we could make it easier for them to see some of the great ideas the community is coming up with and hear the desires of the masses so that maybe they say "Hey, that is awesome and feasible, lets do it." (Maybe you guys could even pin some suggestions that reach past 30 pages or something, I dunno)

To meet up ok, sure. But then scheming and plotting on teamspeak when in reality it should be broadcast to everyone in close proximity because realistically you cant just telepathically talk to one another and now your enemy or whoever doesn't know whats going on. Telling your friend to come in and ghost on people or whatever. That's why rocket is talking about whisper voip and in game radio channels. It will be great for those that want to play the game as intended, using in game mechanics. Do what you want, I cant stop you, but I hate meta-gaming personally. -

Teamspeak is a plague and as bad an exploit as gamma raising and server hopping in my opinion. All of sudden everyone in DayZ has telepathic abilities. So annoying. I know there is nothing that can be done though. -

I think the devs just need to put blood on clothing of those who handle a lot of dead bodies. Blood is absolutely everywhere when people are shot so if you are looting the crap out of someone than you are going to get blood on you to. So that way we don't need a mechanic to tell us how someone looks when we can actually see they have blood on their hands or clothes. -

I can't even tell you how annoying watching that stream is. ALL DEAN WANTS TO DO is play the game and talk over Brian and Matt who are talking about the game mechanics and the future. Dean constantly talks over everyone and ignores answering questions. Crazy annoying. Had to vent.... Annoyed to hear there wont be music from the sound of it. -

Is there anyway to draw Rockets attention to this? I cant even begin to tell you how important sound is to me. I think the single most important thing for me personally. Especially those awesome physical interaction things and doors. I feel like if they don't see this they wont even bother or think to implement physical interaction sounds, Anyone know i good way to get this to the devs attention?
