M16A2 or M4A1, I've been playing ArmA 2 for a year now.. with or without ACE 2, I gotta admit it's been my favorite weapon ever since... plus the common spawn of magazines won't be such a burden to finding ammo. Two bullets into the body of your target takes him down immediately, recoil is not too bad, but CQB is best left to the crosshairs though :)

I play on three servers(chernaurus, panthera, namalsk) hosted by one particular clan.. and they always have side channel on. Side channel allows me to actually say hi to other players and have a short chit-chat with them without having the danger of being close to a possibly hostile stranger. Plus, they call out bandit spots and possible sniper positions 140% of the time they get PK'd.. it allows the assassin side of me to spring into action and get into some bandit hunting, similar to assassination contracts with the reward of gratitude.

Let me guess.. this post is inspired by the BF3:Aftermath DLC??

Solitude, not to start an argument.. but if you played ArmA II: CO instead of just DayZ you would know the vanilla version has a handful of jets/planes.. added with the ACE mod it just makes tons of unique aviation vehicles

I don't think the GPS is that rare.. I find it from time to time, really

You're not good in DayZ, but rather you are good in hunting down survivors/bandits. It's the easiest playstyle there is.. point and shoot. But I suggest you try a different style, playing like Frankie is a good idea. I just tried it myself today, 8 out of 10 survivors trusted me, while the other 2 just killed me without consent.

Doorman is God.. they have two private hive servers that is for chernaurus and panthera.. both are well-populated, no hackers(I did experience one god mode kiddie this week but he got banned a minute after using his 'scripts')

I would suggest playing on a server that restarts every few hours.. a newly restarted server = fresh vehicle. And also, joining a server thats already hours or even days old will most likely have no choppers in its spawnpoint but instead will be under player control

From the looks of it, they are doing a pretty good job(referring to the screenshots released of house interiors) although they should give a little bit more attention to DayZ..

Seeing a script kiddie outfitted by a ghillie suit(typical) emerging from a bush while you run by the coast to Chernaurus for some quick starting loadout. Scared the living crap out of me until he disappeared in thin air, giving me the chance to disconnect. (Wears the hat of shame)

And that is why, I will stick with my tomhawk(hatchet) and lee enfield to fight bandits who are secretly templars

You gotta love the paranoia you get from the darkness of the night, just gotta have my military flashlight and I'll be safe :D

It's basically on how you play your role really, I'm more of the CQB guy, but I can deal with long-range engagements that is within the reach of my rifle nevertheless. Anyway I suggest the M4A3 CCO, Flashlight for night situations. It provides vision or just crucially to signal your buddies at a rendesvouz point, though the flashlight is merely an asset, the relatively small size of the gun itself makes it great for close engagements.

Explanation: The pilot panicked by the bullets either merely or directly hitting the chopper, causing him/her/it to panic and lose control of the chopper, making it go downward. It was a indirect kill but still, good one

It's been a damn while, I grant you that, and I MISS DayZ so much that I'm having hallucinations of me collecting some good old beans and coke/pepsi by the barn with my good 'ol trusty lee enfield on my hands. So, back to the point, ever since my last encounter with one of those teleporting-ghillie-suit-wearing-bastards-that-talk-like-caesar-from-RiseOfThePlanetOfTheApes I have been utterly traumatized by this experience, it was very creepy and eerie that it was the root cause of me not opening DayZ for 2 months now. Anyway, are there still hackers on the normal servers though? Since I have no intention of going to private hive servers or Lingor. Just Chernaurus servers will do me good, but are there still hackers in them?

Well, in ArmA II the AT4 requires a rocket to be reloaded into it (crazy I know) and that certain rocket takes half of the size of your inventory. It's pretty unwise to trade an AT4 for anything in DayZ unless you're gonna use it to ambush a vehicle convoy.
