  1. Greetings there, I believed you missed the whole thread, you know; the whole part where everyone shares a proper and formal way of expressing their opinion, whether it conflicts with mine or not? P.S. But of course, someone who makes well-constructed statements with credible proof(sarcasm heavily intended) deserves my beans.. :)
  2. privatewolf

    Very tight server

That title is so misleading..... or is it just me?
  3. I suggest watching the 'beaglerush' channel, with videos uploaded by Beagle of course ;)
  4. Good Lord, I just checked in my post after a few hours.. and I must say, *kneels down and clamps hands together while looking up on the ceiling* A BREAKTHROUGH!
  5. Brick's fleeting moments of his last jog charge*
  6. If it's your opinion I'm fine with that :)
  7. Obviously the only mod you've played for ArmA II is DayZ.. allow me to introduce you to ACE: Here's a short yet fun and exciting bit of it
  8. Ever since I got my first kill, I would get nightmares everynight. I would just suddenly wake up in the middle of the night and have horrible hallucinations of that incident..
  9. Need some beans right now Found dead body on a field Gets shot by enfield
  10. Keep in mind, taking a life in first experience is something almost impossible to do unless when you are urged enough. But once you do it.. it'll stay with you forever.. you can't just simply witness it, that moment stays with you as long as you live. But how can you, OP, imagine such a thing like that? You're just probably some guy that stays on his PC for hours, slouching on his office chair, and shows no progress in life at all. You'd probably be completely oblivious of real life consequences for your actions

Some backstory to enhance the DayZ expierence

My backstory: You were created with no viable reason how, you only knew your purpose. Take all the beans, with whatever means necessary. *cue the epic sounds*
  12. In one point of our life we have most likely came to the question; why has DayZ changed so much? That is unless if you only started playing the times where bandits are notorious and backstabbing is a daily treat. Back then, (older than the versions where we didn't have to right-click on stuff to interact with them) you see a survivor you would assume he has no bad intentions on your gear and your sacred beans, and it turns out you're right he IS a friend and just wants to team up with someone so that he can maintain his sanity in this barren wasteland. But now, you see a survivor you would assume he's a worthless, stupid, incompetent psychopath who wants to kill you for kicks and just wants to do it because he is too insecure to try to talk to you through the mic and introduce your intentions a bit. Now, to the explanation; why did DayZ change? It's quite easy, it's just human nature. Back then we were all unaware of the fact how common loot is and how rare particular weapons are. As a result most of us end up being 'friendly' then just plays it safe by making friends with every survivor you encounter. But once you start to grow into the game, know the fact of the dangers present in every area you may hide in(snipers and bandits), the fact that the people you actually trust might betray you sooner or later when they get tempted to take your gear forcefully. By that time you would become very uneasy yourself, thus being a average player in this current timeline, a kill on sight bambi. It's actually a realistic touch to DayZ, just like how you would see other post-apocalyptic zombie or not zombie games start off with missions like: 'go to the market to collect food for your group' but once time goes by and supplies become scarce those 'missions' become like this: 'go to the market, defend yourself from other survivors, kill those who have food to feed yourself' tl;dr Until the player realizes the possible threats imminent within every corner, he will be a survivor with no kill on sight intention, but rather as an actual friendly survivor.
  13. Thanks to Frankie, my encounters with other survivors (even bandits) end up with a peaceful resolution, If things go south that's where I get rough by killing the assailant though. But 9 out of 10 times it worked out perfectly, except for that one guy who tried killing me with a double-barreled shotgun.. I killed him with my AKM seconds after. DayZ lesson of the day: Always try a friendly approach, keep in mind you're playing with sentient living beings who can give you the benefit of doubt
  14. Well, this is particular leap I wouldn't take even though I would be landing in the Roman Colosseum filled to the brim with haystacks P.S. The grammatical error there is an honest mistake, not sure how I can change it, though I don't think I will since I'm already quite drowsy

    Do you have music enabled?

I turn it off(in-game) when playing DayZ, it's unfitting and very unnerving for me.. As a replacement, I play Sleeping With Sirens - Dead Walker Texas Ranger which is just perfect with DayZ while I play it.

Thinking of getting DayZ, need help

Hackers? Bah! You only experience those twats on public servers, I suggest 'Doorman is God' private hive servers, they are always under admin provision(don't worry, he's not like some evil sith lord who will make you obey anything against your will)so there are definitely no hackers at all to worry about. Trust me, I've been playing on their servers for a month now and 0% hackers are spotted. Plus, they have a teamspeak server :D P.S. I almost forgot, you should get ArmA II:CO as well, it's a darn great military simulator, probably even the best. Some people only see ArmA II as a 'dead' game that only lived once again because of DayZ, but I grant you, it is a great game to play from time to time. ArmA II: CO gameplay sample:

Your guy's opinion on spawning with weapons.

I would like to spawn with a crowbar and a orange hazmat suit
  18. privatewolf

    You get that terrible feeling...

Have always been a fan of the series(AC & Artemis Fowl) myself :)
  19. privatewolf

    You get that terrible feeling...

Artemis, stop screwing around the internet, we have more serious matters to attend to!

    Favorite DayZ map?

Panthera, a good mixture of hills with lush green vegetation while a small part of it is just sheer desert. Alot of military areas with great loot is provided in this map

    Best Random Find in DayZ

Bionocluers? Are those rare items that are so uncommon that I've never heared of them before?
  22. privatewolf

    Gotta loves me some aircraft...

That time when I flied this UH-60M in Fallujah, I'm not a good pilot since I'm mostly down with infantry work.. so let's just say my squad died because the black hawk was shot into pieces by AA and it was a beautiful, expensive fireworks display for the taliban to watch... p.s. This is not on DayZ
  23. AKM or M16A2.. but that's my opinion since finding it and ammo for it is quite common

Your post is bad, and you should feel bad
