    Thanks for a job well done Rocket, slowly but surely you and your team are whittling down the big issues, gj! Of course there are going to be issues people, but damn this game is still a blast to play, I've not had a game where there is quite as many tense moments as dayz yet.
  2. Zombies are much better in 1.7.2.3, they were way too observant (psychics) with 1.7.2. I have been having the desync issues on some servers and for some reason I seem to have 2 different characters that I log into depending on which server I'm on, both of the servers say they are running 1.7.2.3 so I don't really know what the deal is there. Anyways, my main issue (the zombies) has definitely improved. Still a fun ass mod (until some bastard murders me)!

    Zombies are too sensitive in my opinion. I was liking them just fine in 1.7.1.5, it was tolerable at least. Now they pick up on every single thing possible which is just too much, I've been seeing zombies 100 meters out come running from me crossing a road (like that's not BS). I'm just glad I have yet to see any bear traps, I can only imagine the annoyances in store for us all. I've been wiped 2 times as of last night on this new patch, and ended up spawning in the debug forest about an hour ago before I just gave up for the night. I'm gonna have to put the game away for a while until you guys can re-fix the game a bit. Damn it all for having such an addictive game and it running like shit right now. Hit the zombies with the nerf bat for me, please!

    Build 1.7.2 Rolling Update

    I'm having some connection issues, it's been rather difficult to get into a server that actually does connect me in a timely fashion, though this has surely been reported several times by now. The zombies appear to see me from WAY too far away at the moment also, which pretty much blows. Just wanted it noted about the connection problem. Hope you guys get these resolved soon, I'm going to have to stop playing for a bit I think until a few of these are corrected. Good luck fellas, I know you could use it right now!

    Pending Update: Build 1.7.2

    Playing the 1.7.1.5 alpha and I ended up dying from zombies hitting me through the walls of a barrack in the NW airfield. Also I was firing several shots into zombies head/chest and they were just shrugging it off like they weren't killed so I had to waste several shots to kill a single zombie, thus attracting a damn fleet of psychic zombies to me. Zombies are too aware of their surroundings, picking up movement and sound from too far away. Top that off with zombies that apparently are equipped with flack-jackets and flack-foreheads and you have a really damn annoying zombie party.
  7. After playing 1.7.1.5 for several hours I still think the zeds are still too overpowered. They pick up on some of the most ridiculous things, laying prone to their side, they don't even look at you but still "see" you. This needs to be fixed, they are just too omniscient. Zeds just aren't that fun to play with when they spot you so damn easy, why should zombies be so aware when they are fucking dead and all their senses are made of rotted biological material...it's lame. Also if you pick up a new weapon you stupidly drop damn near everything in your pack: ammo, painkillers, food, and water all dropped as soon as you roll the mouse wheel to "Pick up AKM".
  8. I have to say that the zombies absolutely need to be fixed. This breaks the game many times over, having a zombie spot you from 60 yards away when crouch running. Not a fan of it personally. I do like being able to hide/outrun zombies but attracting 10 of them from all around just from standing up and taking one step is pretty much BS. I won't even start on the fact that we don't get weapons any more and can't even communicate with anyone. The game really feels more detached from the player community than I've ever seen it, grouping is darn near impossible if you aren't on steam chat or teamspeak. I guess I'll just end my wee little rant here, hope someone listens...

    Voice & Text Communication

    Sorry to say but I definitely think there needs to be some way to communicate. The game is already lonely as hell, removing the only form of communication severely limits a players ability to play peaceably and creates hostiles out of all players. I know you guys want the mod to be hardcore and all but come on, at least give us some way to keep our sanity on those dark, rainy nights...

    General feedback/suggestions

    I will give a +1 much of what you've just mentioned. Zeds pick up on your location very easily and then add to that the fact that WAY too many of the zeds in this mod run the speed of an Olympic athlete. The run speed needs to be reduced and far less zombies should be able to sprint or they should only be able to sprint for short periods. I think the zombies speeds are what is killing this mod for me, it's just too "comical" and immersion breaking to see all the zeds running so fast. Maybe you guys intend them to be sprinters but man, it's a downer.
