agreed - the current chat system doesn't work. i'd like to see global chat removed completely along with VOIP. as you said we'd just have local chat instead. -

rules are rules - you can't have private password-locked servers -
as others said, it's a server setting. you were probably playing on a "regular" diff. one.

yes zombies seem a bit too fast. personally i'd like to see them slowed down just a tad, and instead spawn around the player during horde attacks. give the player a sense of being ambushed from multiple directions.

good ideas, but the problem is that skins can't be easily modded into this game. the current skins are all default arma ones, none of them have been custom-made -

get the latest arma patch and start using direct chat. problem solved. -
lying is just pathetic. there's nothing wrong with killing other people, but not by luring them through straight-up deceit. just today, i saw a group of people agree on a trade, to have 1 party ambush the other in cold-blood. that really is sad. maybe i'm just a person who believes there's honor in banditry.

as others said, you'd have bandits turning on each other. something like this would only work with people you know, not randoms.

disagreed - zombies as a player-threat were nonexistent before. this game is about survival, not some sort of post-apocalyptic deathmatch. zombies, and lack of provisions should be the largest threats to player survival. so to that end, i'd personally like to see provisions reduced just a tad, to the point of beans and coke actually being worth something.

yeah that's the idea, but most people get around that by fiddling with their gamma settings

yes, some of the new players decided to try out actual arma 2 servers, and seeing how they basically can't play, they've decided to troll and wreck havoc instead. -

you're giving the mod itself too much credit. arma 2 is to praise here - the only new thing this mod introduced was persistent stats tracking. anyone who's played any of the other countless zombie mods knows that this one isn't very different. -
good points. i think that all items in this game should have their own advantages and drawbacks compared to others. as an example you mentioned, the alice pack is simply the best backpack in the game, making all the others useless. it' a good example of experienced players having a clear-cut advantage over starting players. so balance it out somehow - make alice packs heavier and reduce player speed. +1 to reducing flares/chemlights. just reduce everything in general. it doesn't feel like a survival game when i'm constantly stocked on supplies. surviving hunger/thirst and zombies should be priority #1, not looking out for bandits.
