yeah this game really needs a confirmed weapons list with all these hackers around. if i see a rare weapon i'm taking it; don't ban me because i didn't know the difference between an illegal gun and one with a .0000001% chance of spawning

any info. regarding helicopter crash sites?

went there recently, found a repairable military offroad. also ran into 2 survivors that were a little too mesmerized by that car. ended up climbing the ladder up to the tower only to get shot on the way up. some kiddie was just camping the ladder shooting down. and I thought barracks camping was cheap

7 days for me. got shot by a server hopper at NW airfield. worst thing was that i saw him spawn in but assumed it was a teammate

you can't remove all their ammo. plus sneaking is impossible unless they're deaf.

funny story - i was taking fire at NW airfield from the hangars. crept to the firestation tower, got eyes on my shooter, and missed my first CZ shot. dude then had visual on me with his dmr and had me pinned. luckily i had one of those portable nukes on me. blind tossed it in his general direction, saw it explode mid-air outside the hangar, and then i saw his body collapse inside the hangar from the explosion. a quick AK burst finished him off so yes these things seem to work through walls

you can use arma 2 free with arrowhead. or you can buy compined ops on amazon for $15

it's bugged. there's a 6 page thread about it in the "bug reports" sub forum

manual spawns or not, vehicles as a whole have just vanished. i must have traveled around the entire map at least twice now without seeing a single repairable car or heli, on different servers, too. i could understand you reducing heli spawns, but there's no need to reduce car numbers. all they allow people is to travel from point A to point B faster.

flying helis is easy. just reassign the keys to your liking, but most importantly set "nose up" to a keyboard button. that way you have maximum input and can pull off tight turns that would otherwise be impossible with a mouse. autohover is for noobs.

ok if you don't feel like paying $40 for a mod, you can buy CO on amazon for $15. and after all, you're not just paying for dayz. arma 2 is an amazing game.

it has always been this way. that large influx of new players has just moved through the natural "dayz cycle" of being noobs, exploring, realizing there's nothing to do, and then killing others.

agreed. it's not that hard finding a group to play with. heck if you can't do it in-game, then go to the survivor HQ on these forums and join a clan or something.

Wow could you be any more useless. OP tents are still bugged and don't seem to work. I've tried countless times but couldn't place one myself. The trick that smart*** was referring to is using the dayz code 1.5.6 file to join a server, quickly pitching a tent, and then reconnecting with updated files.

Bunch of people with OP weapons gunning down noobs. Zombies are a joke and hardly ever pose a serious threat. The advanced players have already gotten bored of airfield camping and vehicle repairing, and are just on the hunt with their NVG's and assault rifles. Basically, here's how the average player goes through this game: 1. First time playing - explore, collect pointless items, die a lot. 2. Work with other players, explore further in-land, collect better guns. 3. Realize you're essentially running around in circles for no apparent reason. 4. Form a group to repair vehicles. 5. Have some fun driving around in a jeep. 6. Realize you're going in circles, again. 7. What do I do now? 8. Start hunting other players. TLDR: the game is getting repetitive flamesuit: ON

ok so 3 weeks after the OP, and the game hasn't changed at all. if anything it's even more of a deathmatch now. doesn't help that vehicles seem to be glitched and are nearly impossible to find now.

regular difficulty servers have them, veteran ones don't

From what I've seen since the latest patch, crashed helis and repairable cars can't be entered. The scroll menu option for it just never comes up.
